Xavier men's soccer outshot UAB 15-4, but couldn't find the back of the net in a frustrating 2-0 road loss on Sunday night at BBVA Compass Field.

The Musketeers fell to 1-1 on the young season, while UAB improved to 1-1. Next Match is September 2, 2016 at Nationally Ranked Virginia.

Yeah, the Lipscomb losses the last couple of years really hurt.

I don't understand the 48 hour turnaround from Opening Night in Cincinnati to Sunday evening in Birmingham. I guess it didn't affect too much as they still got 15 shots on Goal... but one has wonder if this is one we look back on come tournament time.

I'll leave it to Brew to break the match down, but UAB is more often than not an NCAA Tournament contender themselves. No shame in losing to them.
