I will provide a summary of anything that might be of interest.

Summary from last night:

Travis stated team very hungry due to earlier exit than everyone hoped for. Loves the roster and they will be very flexible w/ moving guys around in different positions. Team was unranked going into season last year and this year they will be the hunted and not surprise anyone. Their schedule is tough which is what they want.

Blueitt- working out in Indy and taking online class; they want him to get even leaner.

Gates: is in Cincy for summer. Already put on 10 pounds of muscle, he can cover 1-5 on defense. Having great summer so far.

O'Mara: went to Houston and worked out at John Lucas camp. Has lost 15 pounds thanks to Mack having him do Insanity workout program.

Gaston: spent year lifting and practicing w/ team. Can definitely tell he put in the time in weight room. Excellent rebounder and finisher. Only has 1 year and is ready to play for X.

JP: back in Minnesota and they want him to get stronger, so he is hitting the weights.

Myles: Myles is Myles. Nothing really said about him

Eddie: Versatile. Spent time w/ team as redshirt. Like what they see so far and expect him to contribute and see some time.

Recruits:

Gooden: True point guard but also scores. Can allow them to move Edmund to 2 guard if needed and cam move guys around in many different lineups.

Jones: A beast physically, already very strong. Dunks everything. Travis said, "He dunks like I dunk on my son's nerf hoop."

Edmund: not much said but working on strength as well.

Greg Christopher mentioned Mack is coaching some guys on 18 u team that Xavier is actively looking at and recruiting but cannot mention any names but it certainly doesn't hurt X, exposure-wise.

and one last tibit, Travis mentioned the Advo-Care tourney and called the UD game their "tryoput" and "said we all know how that turned out". Travis stated he won't mention the school up north on 75 by name. This got a lot laughs from the crowd.

So, I don't see X playing UD any time soon.

I find the comment that the Advo-Care Dayton game was their tryout game and how it worked out.

I admit to trolling the UD board for laughs. They have a thread that basically says how bad they want X on their schedule but we will not do that since we would suffer a double digit beat down. Funny how they can alt /control/ delete the memory of that Orlando game in which it looked like a college team was playing a very mediocre high school team. It was a talent mismatch and that is not going to change any time soon.

I am really curious to see if Sumner has continued to add muscle, increase his ball handling, and improve his shot. With his speed and instincts he could really have a showcase season.

Thanks, Mid. My last year not making it. One of my classmates, Kevin P, is the chief organizer and I've just had conflicts this year and in the past. I'm all over it next year though Brothers and Sisters.
