Butler has landed a coveted — and needed — graduate transfer.

Memphis' Avery Woodson has committed to Butler, IndyStar has confirmed. He'll be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer and provides the Bulldogs needed experience and production in the backcourt. Woodson averaged 9.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game; his 77 3-pointers and .430

A lot of transfer ins on that team. Tyler Lewis isn't the answer for them. He needs great players around him to be effective.

They should be a tournament team again. Woodson, Savage, Martin, Chrabs, and Wideman will be a really solid starting 5. Their bench, besides Lewis and Brunk, will be a fairly big question mark, but they should have enough to make the tourney.

and Brunk is still a true freshman big, so you really dont know for sure what you will get out of him

But was good enough to absolutely cut us up in the 2014 NCAAT while playing for NC State.

This is what I mean, the question is whether Butler has two NBA players like NC State did in 14.

Also, that Xavier team was pretty bad.

I'm not sure they'll be a tournament team...they were a 9 seed and on the bubble pretty much all of feb/march this year. They just lost their two best players of the past 2 years....does anyone really think woodson is an upgrade over Jones/Dunham? Certainly not on offense.

They'll be another middle of the pack Big East team next year. That can mean NIT or NCAA depending on how you fair against the other middle of the pack teams.
