Since the season is now done, I've sat back and just let my memory wander. I let it go to the most memorable individual plays to me that our great X-Men gave us this year. Here are my Top 5 that popped in my head first. I'm sure I missed some:
1) Eds Thunder Posterization of Octavious Ellis.
2) Eds nasty jab step- step back 3 pointer from the corner vs Wake. (Maybe the dirtiest deke and drill I can remember).
3) JP's driving up and under finish from the wing vs Villanova
4) Jalen's fake, take, make 3 pointer with the accompanying wingspan stroll back down the court.
5) JP's NO CONSCIENCE 3 to ice the Providence game on the road.
Please add your's!

Ugh. The high point of the game where I felt pretty confident, only for Xavier to barely score down the stretch.
But that was a fun play.

yep. Thought for sure X had the game in hand after that play. Sigh...

What a play that was, I was screaming in my living room. The worst part about it was we had been giving Jalen shit all year about his consistency, and said if we get a consistent Jalen, we'll make a run. Jalen did his part, the rest of the team decided to go cold.

My candidates:
* Sumner's up and under reverse late in the game against Wisconsin
* Reynolds' out of nowhere hook-shot-to-dunk that knocked him on his ass against Weber State
* Myles doing the zip 'em up against Dayton(?) UC(?)

1) Ed's dunk on Octavious
2) JP's dagger 3 at Providence
3) JP's dunk at the of of the Butler game (just because it was Butler)
4) Jalen's coast-to-coast against Wisconsin
5) London's dish to O'Mara in the paint that led to a dunk against UD (also almost every other play in that game)

Ed's drive and dish to Farr for a wide open dunk late in the Villanova win. That was the moment that game was over. Even prompted Gus Johnson to note how Sumner was ballin.

1) Eds Thunder Posterization of Octavious Ellis.
In all it's glory (https://vine.co/v/iZFmewVb2qp)... I could (and have) just watch it over and over and over...
Also, how about this defense (https://streamable.com/3pkz) by JP Macura. I think everything here has been an offensive play so far, but check out the movement at the top of the 1-3-1 by J.P.M.F. on this play! Never quits, and ends up with the steal!

Two X-ceptional choices!
JP's 3 point dagger was sweet as well.

Ed's dunk on Wake Forest and Michigan. JP's two threes against Nova.

JP's 3 to end the half against Marquette in the Big East Tourney was also a good one.

JP seemed to have quite a few of those moments. You can't say he's afraid to take the shot!

Which begs the question....how does he not start next year? His progression from freshman to sophomore was huge. If he can make half that progress from sophomore to junior...got to have him on the floor. I know it doesn't matter who starts the game, but these kids have egos. If JP is coming off the bench next year and embraces that role for a third year, he'll be my all time favorite X player. Sorry to hijack.

He and Myles will be battling. They both basically played starter minutes this past year anyway

With how often Xavier plays a small lineup, they play more alongside each other than in competition with each other.

That's true. With how many big guys we'll have next year I would think we'll play a little bigger. Especially if Jalen comes back.
It's easier to play smaller as our smalls get bigger. Ed, JP and Tre are a far cry from Dee and some of the guys of recent years.

Ed against Michigan is up there for me. He had Spike completely frozen.

How about when JP stole the ball from Jenkins then drew his 4th foul?
Had to have been a top 5 loudness factor in Cintas at that moment.

Was trying to find this video again. The VD game was outrageous, but after looking at the play-by-play, I believe the pass and dunk you're thinking of is this one from earlier in the tournament vs. USC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bfD-kEfdzM?t=9
But yes, pretty much every other play from the VD would qualify for this post, and I also do seem to remember a couple other times throughout the year where London hit up O'Mara for a dunk / easy basket.
