Meant to ask this months ago, but does anybody know the song that gets played right before tip-off? When the student sections starts jumping. Some of the lyrics I remember is "This is life.."
I know, it's an inconvenient time to start a thread like this.

Isn't it a remake / heavy metal version of Talking Heads - Burning Down The House? Unless they changed it..

Unless you mean riiiight before.

Then it's Enter Sandman - Metallica. AKA the Mariano Rivera entrance theme music

I know what your talking about. Not that one, it's not a video.
It shows I think a John Deere sponsorship and measures the crowd volume with the song playing.

It's definitely Enter Sandman. And ahh Mariano, where you can perfect one pitch, and throw it every time but nobody can hit it regardless.

This is crazy for my 33 year old brain to comprehend that someone may not know Enter Sandman. I wonder what XUFan2020's age is? Either way they were probably born a good 10 years after Enter Sandman was released.

I'm 28 and I didn't know that was the name of the song. I mean, I recognize the name, but I couldn't have told you what Enter Sandman sounds like.

I kept staring at this, and then I realized that "This is life" = "Exit: Light."

I also feel really, really old.

Immediate action: iTunes, buy Metallica (black album) by Metallica, listen and you're welcome

I should've shut this thread down as soon as I found out it was Enter Sandman. I knew I was gonna catch shit.
Yeah.. I'm young.

Good song btw.

Right before tip off? How about a rousing rendition of "99 bottles of beer on the wall - a retrospective".

Don't feel bad. I'm old and I didn't know it was Metallica or Enter Sandman. I was in my early 30s when it came out. Was just never a Metallica fan.

Good song btw.

There's a version with a live orchestra as well. Your mileage may vary on how "good" that version is.
