Do You Want To Play Seton Hall or Creighton?

Assuming Xavier can handle the Warriors in the quarterfinals (not a given), would you rather face Seton Hall or Creighton in the semifinals?

Seton Hall is playing well to end the season, is playing to move up seed lines in the NCAA tournament, just steamrolled Xavier in New Jersey, and may have a quasi-home crowd in MSG. On the other hand, the Pirates would be another solid resume win for Xavier seeking a #1 seed and revenge would be as sweet as cheap screwdrivers with Snipe.

Creighton should be a less formidable opponent, but seems to have Xavier's number, winning in Omaha and hanging 93 in Cincinnati, and obviously needs to win the BET to steal the automatic bid.

Let's hope we get by Marquette, but I've been eminent about playing Hall again after that debacle in Jersey. I hope we beat the living piss out of them, they have one of the most hatable teams in the Big East. Whitehead is an ass, and I like Groselle more than him, which is saying something major. I hope we get them and roll them. But as I said, let's get by Marquette first. *Knocks on wood*

Creighton would be easier path... Something I noticed last game against SH is that they knew a lot of our plays. Out of bounds and set plays.... I think Creighton is tougher mentally and SH is a loose cannon. When the pressure is on I worry about SH in the big dance.

Cole Huff has been really really good. I didnt see him when he was in Nevada but I know a lot of teams were high in him. It might be the "brown" jerseys but I see a bit of Andrew Nicholson in his game...

Also Whitehead will be decent in the NBDL one day.

We would be well represented and it's going to be a heck of a lot of fun. However there are two teams I'd like to avoid before the final four..Kansas and unc. Kansas has very athletic guards and unc is the most talented team in the country even though they only like to show it about 20 percent of the time.

Yes I know we would and I know we could be KU but I'd rather not find out for sure until the Final 4.

Who we play is much more important then how many fans we have there imo.

If Xavier moves the ball and plays defense the way they did last night, they can beat just about anyone.

Spread the ball, make SH guard all 5 guys on the floor and worry about who is coming off the bench. In these multi-day stretches of games, a deep bench and commitment to getting multiple players involved can pay big dividends as the minutes add up.

I think it will come down to us mixing up things defensively and winning the war on the boards. I hope our guys are as jacked up tonight as they were last night.

We can't let ourselves get screened at the top of the key and hope to hedge and recover or switch men with Jalen, James, etc. We need that guy getting screened to fight over the top or just go under it. It's not like the screens are coming out of nowhere. You can see it develop and we have to adjust so a solid screen isn't set. Take care of that and the man to man becomes much stronger.
