So who's all making the trip to NYC and if you already have tix, what section are you sitting in?

I'll be in section 207.

I'm not VIP enough to get the Sardi's invite from X, but will probably at least check out the pre-game festivities X has planned at Thristy Fan on Thursday.

Sec 115, Row 22 for all the games. Taking off from Chicago tomorrow at 7:45AM. Will be at Sardi's and Thirsty Fan events.

I am going to be drinking with WCWIII at Thirsty's, which is a place I go to every time I go to New York. I am even going to encourage every Muskie fan to give it a five star rating on Yelp.

I am going with my two young Snipes and The Coz. We do not yet have a hotel or tickets. Our Megabus chariot arrives at 7:00 am on Thursday on an overnight from Pittsburgh.

We plan on taking Manhattan by storm. The city will never be the same.

I think we are gonna rent some bikes in Central Park and try to check the whole thing out.

Going to the 9/11 Museum.

Bringing a big bottle of Vodka and plan to have pre-happy hour invitation only screwdrivers in my vast palatial suite. Anyone who wants to attend has to give me positive reps!

I think there may be tickets available for a showing during the 2020 big east tourney.

We need a rally point within MSG. I'm going to suggest the concourse on level 2 near Tower D, behind section 207. Roughly the NE corner.

Thursday should be a pretty decent deal opportunity for a late scalp on Stub Hub. All the different programs have boosters and they all had to buy all session passes. Two sessions in one day is a lot of basketball. Two hours for each game with a half hour in between makes 4.5 hours a session. Going to both sessions is 9 hours of MSG basketball. Now I am sure XUBREW could do that, but most people would politely decline.

Stubhub has had over 1,100 tickets on the Thursday Night game inventory all day. I think that prices will crash come game time as more people get back to their hotel after the first session and decide to bag the second one. I am looking for some firesale prices! Of course, I am happy just getting in the building, and am not to particular about where I sit. Speaking of that, MSG holds 18,000. It doesn't sell out for this event. Highest attendance for last year was Friday Night at around 15k. The Finals got around 12K. And I don't know if that is actual or paid attendance.

When you see fans that got eliminated, they are the greatest potential for some great seats. If Butler goes flaming out of it, most Butler fans will move on to other things and dump their tickets. Butler is just an example, all fans do that. And some of those boosters have fantastic seats. There are deals to be had!

If you get shut out from Stubhub tickets will still be on sale at the box office for $25 + a $5 box office fee. So no fear about not being able to attend.

Happy hunting.

Weather outstanding today. Walked the High Line park trail down to the new Winey Museum. All manner of native and foreign fauna, very pleasing to the eye, and no traffic.

It's a great day to be in NYC, to be a Muskie, and to celebrate the Big 7-0.

Yeah weather has been great today. Did the stereotypical sightseeing at the Flatiron Building, Empire State, Grand Central and Times Square. Hanging out in the Hells Kitchen area at the moment. Gonna do High Line at some point tomorrow.

At the XU gathering at Sardi's, they indicated that between XU ticket sales and online sales they estimate approximately 1200 tickets purchased by XU. Get weather predicted for the next few days. Pasted Mr. James Farr while walking through Times Square yesterday.

Crowd was really good at MSG last night for the prelim games. Guessing 12-13K and not much Red Storm Red.

Also saw that XU practiced at NJIT yesterday. I wonder if they will show up on the 2016-17 schedule at Cintas?

Oh my kids are punks, they have reached the age that they can't stand dad, and are always embarrassed by dad. I think they wish they were here with my money but not without me.

They love being here. They liked all Times Square and Central Park and MSG, but they aren't acting like I had anything to do with it. Bunch of punks.

Tomorrow we are going to 9/11 memorial and all, and maybe that boat ride. If we beat Seton Hall tomorrow I think all Hell Is gonna break lose on Saturday and we are gonna win the #1 seed.

They will appreciate that but I don't expect them to act like it. Who would have thought my kids would be a bunch of punks?

Be careful with waiting on tickets today guys. With the top 4 seeds making it, and those three teams being train rides away, I think a lot more fans show up. What TM has is already way worse than it was for yesterday night and way worse than what was available for tonight about 10 hours ago.

The Coz wants to go to Brooklyn just to taunt Dayton Fans. Like even scalp tickets and go inside and taunt them. He wants to just go in and start yelling "NIT! NIT!" over and over, even though Dayton isn't going to the NIT.

The kid is not right in the head. For the record The Coz = Fred Garvin = Roscoe for the lineage.

Now if someone had a Fat Head of Jimmy Carter perhaps I would do it. Instead of yelling "NIT!: I woud yell "Jimmy Carter!'

Imagine how anyone would attempt to explain that. And I call my kids punks. I am public enemy #1.

And, it's rich for the Snipester to worry about explaining anything to anybody. The Great Man and his minions hired a plane to fly over Nippert Stadium with a banner declaring the Lack of Integrity that one BeelzeBob had. He's a self designated lightning rod. WTF is explaining?

Didn't realize that Seton Hall is just 36 minutes away from the Garden. They are going to have a substantial fan base tonight.

I am gonna wait until the session starts and see if I can get a deal. After Nova and Providence tip off hopefully the prices will come down.

This could get ugly though. They didn't sell out a game last year, but Friday Night was the toughest ticket. Lowest priced on Stubhub currently $80 and only 1098 tickets available. An hour ago they had close to 1700 tickets available and they started at $60.

Masterofreality
03-12-2016, 09:33 AM
Yeah, I think there was a little too much made about the incident last night and Jalen's rep continues to preceed him.. He just seems to be the lightning Rod for refs to nail. By Larkin said on the broadcast that the refs waaaaaaaay overreacted...should have called a foul, but then just separated the participants and had a conversation. As aggressive as Seton Hall was last night, they should have called a lot more, but so be it.

Jalen has had his "moments" no doubt but last night was way overblown. By the way, any player who sticks his face next to a guy's arm or elbow trying to play "tough defense" should expect to get a shot to the nose. Before all these rule changes about above the shoulders contact, refs understood that a guy getting his face popped when he's up in another guy's kitchen was just "street justice". Now some of these refs are wussified....and it's BS.

LA Muskie
03-12-2016, 10:12 AM
The foul looked much worse in realtime than on replay. Not sure how they could stick with F1 after review.

As for the double-T, it was definitely related to the extracurriculars. It was called after the foul by a different official. We don't know what was said or what preceded it over the course of the game--but there was plenty of jawing all game long, and things were also pretty chippy at times. Those types of calls are typically cumulative. And somehow Jalen always seems to "find" himself in the middle of it.
