This is just me asking to see how valid it is I'm not blasting or questioning Mack. With Sumner being 6'6 he has 4 inches or more on just about every point he plays against. I have yet to see X clear out and post him up in an obvious mismatch. We see a ton of man to man and get very little zone so I was wondering why we don't see him post up at all. Do you think he just doesn't have that in his game right now? I'm asking cause I think that could be a pretty big weapon in the tournament

he just doesnt have that in his game right now. It takes practice to be able to post up and score effectively, and thats not something he or the coaches are worried about working on at this point.

I suspect if he had a decent post up game, we would see him post up.

Cause he's better at post-erizing.

That is something staff will add as Sumner gets bigger and stronger. You have to be able to back people up. Tu even at less than 6 feet tall could do it on occasion becuase he had thighs like tree trunks and very strong core/upper body.

Needs to hit the gym this summer, then I suspect we may see it next year.

The offense of this team is fine the way it is. This is not a team that needs it's guards to post up. We have bigs that can handle that part of the game.

Yes it's always good to have a guard that can mismatch on the blocks even if it's on a secondary break. Didn't he have a big growth spurt? Maybe never thought he would be tall enough to bother practicing posting up at the D1 level.

There is also the problem of feeding the post player; our guys can barely deliver the pass to Jalen, Farr & O'Mara down low.

Myles does well with it though, I think he definitely needs to gain some weight and work on it in the off-season, let's not tinker with things in season that take time.

Got to be able to "bang down low" to get that "post up".

Yeah, it doesn't really matter how tall Edmond is when he would be a scrawny kid trying to push back generally stockier guards.

I was at the Xavier notre dame game in tournament and was like 5 rows from the floor. That was the first time I saw his legs and those things were tree trunks. Obviously sumner is nowhere close to that now but I think it's is something he will hopefully develop in years to come

I think Sumner is still green. Very fast but teams like last SH game, keep players in front of him so he can't drive then his outside shot is gone or very limited. He needs 2 more years to be an all star college player.

So what you're saying is that we won't see that.
