It's getting close...Kansas will probably be the #1 overall and be sent to midwest, acc champion, xavier or villanova, then whoever decides to step up these last couple of weeks. I just hope that if xavier does get a #1, they don't end up out west...I want to see us make the Final Four in person and it's too tough to get out there for me.

Strangely enough I thought that if Oklahoma won that we would be #4 and Nova #3. I didn't think the voters would want to drop them that many spots.

But with Virginia and Oklahoma opening up room, they can still put Nova as #3, not too much of a drop, and us at #2 while moving Kansas up.

Boy do we need to win tomorrow. None of this talk matters if we don't, and Seton Hall has something to prove. They played us tough at home and this has been a ? on the schedule for a long time. This will be a battle, it is no gimmie.

My goal is for the Big East Championship game of Xavier vs Nova to be for not the #1 seed, but the overall #1 in the Nation. That would be classic, and since I am heading to the Garden for my first time, allow me to dream. I want to take my boys to that game. That would be something. Also is Nova's only other loss is to us in the Big East Final, I think that they are still a #1 seed too.

I have a plan to take over the world, and right now it is working out to a T. I love my plan, and I love my next afternoon beer. I am about to listen to the Coach Mack show podcast, and watch some more Nova highlights on Youtube. I heard JP had a good game against Nova. The current highlight reel seems like a JP exclusive with all of the shots and moves. I wonder if his hometown press has said anything about that effort.

Resume is rock solid as other teams are stubbing toes. I say Kansas will likely get overall #1 seed. If X wins out they will get second #1 seed. Villanova if wins through BE final will be a #1 seed. Although VU only has 1 top 25 win(us). X has UD and VU as Top 25 wins.
Worst case scenario is a 3 seed. Best case is #1 overall if Kansas crumbles twice before selection show.

Root for Hoyas when they play at Marquette.
Hoyas are ranked 101 in RPI and that could be a blemish on XU's resume.
I know KAnsas too has 1 worse lose to OK St. (155)

If the Hoyas win their first game in the Big East Tournament and then play either Xavier or Nova, they will move up from 101 or even worse just from one more win and a loss to Xavier or Nova. I think a loss to Nova right now would move up the Hoyas at least 10 spots.

We beat Butler, and they moved up like 5 or so spots, and they weren't even near to 101. If Georgetown can make it to play one of the elites they can move up substantially in RPI just by losing the game.

I think anyone in the big east can beat anyone in the big east on any given night. And just cause I think it's not a 100% chance of victory doesn't mean I want to bet on it. I'm not going to make assumptions on any games cause that's stupid. I'm going to enjoy the ride and hope for the best. That being said I think we'll beat creighton fairly easily but nothing is 100%. Making assumptions about a 1 seed right now is stupid. But if it's 100% you should probably go all in with your life's savings.

Except for DePaul & St. John's. They suck in-conference. Instead of a "given night" it would have to be a "miracle night".

Add 2 wins in BE tourney or maybe 1 win in BE tourney for lock.

Yep that is what I think. Now xavier would have to win today and against Creighton and probably get to big east finals but I can definitely see them put both Xavier and KY in the south, to match up in Louisville. I would love to squash KY in their backyard, since they will never schedule us. Would be a tough ticket and 20,000 people rooting against X, since they think the meaning of life is KY basketball. Bring it on.
