I've actually been very dissapointed with the whole Gus & Bill thing. FS1 pumped it up from the start but the duo doesn't do many games together. I would've thought they'd to the best weekday and weekend BE game every week during conference season but that's just not the case at all.

I think the Committee will give both 1 seeds in the right context. There are only so many potentially worthy teams. If Xavier wins this week, and then the two teams meet in the Big East finals after winning out, I bet they're both 1 seeds.

Villanova has the second lowest three pt % in the league but has taken the most 3's.Basically they go 8 for 25 per game.They always seem to light us up behind the arc.They're also #1 in the league in shooting % defense.

If Iowa, Maryland, Miami, or Duke get a 1 seed, then something crazy has happened at the top for them to rise so much. Barring that, these teams max out at 2 seeds or in Maryland's case, 3 seed. Okay, maybe Iowa has an outside shot. After all, the Penn State loss was only bad and not terrible. IMO the top teams in order right now are:

Villanova (Weak noncon performance and not having a sweep of a top 5 team like KU has drops them here)
Xavier
Virginia
Oklahoma (I would have put them one spot higher until recently when UVA started playing much better and OU was dropping games)

A major key has to be stopping Villanova's three point shooting. They have crushed us in the last 6 games, going 70-161 for 43.5%. They shoot a ton of threes, but it'd be nice to keep them from making more than 8 or 9.

CINCINNATI – Due to an anticipated record crowd at Cintas Center and the likelihood of increased congestion around campus, Xavier Athletics would like to remind all ticket holders of parking procedures and options for Wednesday's 7 p.m. men's basketball game against Villanova.

B/C4 pass holders will still be allowed access to the lot through any of the entrances currently available. Those without passes, however, will not be allowed access through any entrance when the public portion of the Norwood Plaza is full.

Fans are strongly advised to use other public parking options at the corner of Dana and Montgomery on University Station, as well as multiple lots near the intersection of Dana and Woodburn. This is particularly advised for those arriving after 6 p.m.

Xavier's complimentary golf cart shuttles will continue normal service, running to University Station and and the circle drive on St. Francis Xavier Way.

Additional signage will also be present on Wednesday to direct any non-pass holders to available lots.

Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive as early as possible and anticipate a longer wait to park than normal – due to the anticipated crowd and other scheduled events on campus.

Following the game, fans traveling northbound on Montgomery Rd. are advised that Williams Avenue will be CLOSED due to eastbound road construction.

Xavier University swept the BIG EAST Conference major men's basketball weekly honors with sophomore Trevon Bluiett being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Edmond Sumner being named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. The duo helped the Musketeers to wins over Providence and at Georgetown last week.

Myles has to do better than a triple double against Nova if he wants some attention. :)

I don't have a DVR, so that is out of the question. Does anyone know of a way I could stream the game on my computer and record it on there? Or does anyone know of a site that will have the game up after it ends? (I know there was a YouTube link for the Providence game)

My other option is just to skip class, but that seems like a bad way to start the quarter.

We bought software that records your screen. The download is free, but to get it to record sound you also have to pay like $15 for the year. The files are big so you need some room on the hard drive. Also, you can't start it on timer. So someone needs to hit record when the game becomes available on Foxsportsgo.com

Nova completely overplayed the wing pass and we had many early turnovers and could not get into the offense. If Ed can penetrate down the middle and either finish or kick to Tre and Myles we will be in great shape. This also assumes that the ref crew decides to call the game based on 2015-16 "freedom of movement" rules that they are supposed to be enforcing. I can see Nova bodying up on Ed and Tre and getting away with it cause "GQ" Jay will be crying on the sidelines.

By the way, I love Gus Johnson as an announcer, but do we have an over/under on the # of times he will refer to Jay Wright as "G Q Jay"?

Was also there. Can't forget how abnormally well Nova shot the 3 that day. Between Ed's injury and Arci - however you spell it - long range shooting, Xavier was completely crushed emotionally. I'm feeling a lot better this time around.

I think you are going to see Hart on Blueitt and liklely Brunson on Sumner. Several keys to why we have won 6 in a row but I feel one of the things we have done in almost every game is defed Blueitt and I think Hart is a big part of that; one of the best defenders in the Big East and really the entire country. Also, keep an eye defensively on Mikal Bridges; he has ridiculous wingspan. He was successful against Kriss Dunn and has the length to cause problems at the top of the key.

The only person in the league who had any kind of success against Sumner was Dunn. Brunson on Sumner is a complete mismatch. I see Brunson on Myles and Archopihknjklnhals on Sumner. And Archopihknjklnhals cannot guard Sumner unless he is holding him.

Hart is going to be a problem. The best match up IMO would be Gates, but can't see Gates getting enough minutes to make an impact.

Couldn't be more spot on with Nova defending the wings. They've done this every time we play them and make normal easy passes extremely difficult. It forces X to start their offense farther out and it takes longer to get into their sets. Going to have to be strong with the ball and not hesitate. Every time they hesitate, it turns into a lazy pass and a turnover. Can't start giving them bunnies to start. I don't think X ever plays scared of Nova, but they need to take it to them from the start and set the tone

Saw our ugliness against Baylor in Atlanta 4+/- years ago before Kentucky finished them. What a mismatch they were for us. We are built a lot more like that (LONG) now, which makes me feel a little better.
