All season, he's learned to take responsibility for his emotions and for picking up fouls.
The last three weeks or so, it seems like it's coming together, game-by-game, much like last season. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Jalen is playing better but I hope he rested this Hoya game: 6 pts, 3 rebounds, 19 minutes.
I hope he plays 30 minutes, 20 points, 9 rebounds againgst Villanova.
Jalen is keeping his shit together mentally (a huge move forward!), but still needs basic back to the basket offensive moves. If he starts 8' from the basket, it's an adventure.

He took a long jumper a foot inside the three today... but that was the only moment when he felt out of control... Mack's comments felt spot on, this was one of our best, most complete games of the season...

Near the end of the game he got away with a huge shove which actually ended with a G'town player on the floor. We just missed a shot, he got tangled up with a guy near the free throw line...and as he was running back down court just pushed the guy to the floor. He's been MUCH better, but sometimes he still seems more interested in "mixing it up" than actually playing the game. It's frustrating to watch sometimes.

He finally went left today and fininshed. Coach Steele said last week that Jalen has a great move to his left but wants to always go right. I think that is a positive. Jalen for the most part this year has had to deal with shit calls, and that is due to his past, but I think he has done a good job with his composure for the most part. If he can kick it into gear, along with Remy, they will be a really hard out. I think the best is yet to come.

IMHO, he misses too many bunnies and close shots around the basket. Agree he's better this year, but seems like a keg of dynamite ready to explode. I'm glad X has Farr and Davis as leaders to keep Jalen in check. When all else fails, Mack sits his ass on the bench.
If Jalen can solve Ochefu, X can solve Nova. And most any team with talented bigs. If he can go simply 4-8 or 5-10 and rebound and stay on the floor, we match up with about anybody. He is the last link needed for this team to make a run.
His demeanor, his increasing ability to roll with adversity and block out provocation are greatly improved. I agree about Jalen finishing close to the basket, but that's a (small) gap throughout this team at times.
I have this sense that he's close to clicking. It's amazing that we have the horses to win with him only playing half a game. Really ,will be something if he can give 28-32 minutes.

Jalen playing well should scare the absolute life out of everybody that has to play us.

I know this thread is about Jalen - but I also keep waiting for Trevon to put two halves together. Granted, his 20 mins is better than most players 40, but can you imagine if TB starts stringing halves AND Jalen goes off!!!!!!

Totally agree. I'm almost at the point where I want Coach to tell him to play "Olay" defense just to avoid fouls. Also, I'd love to see Tre and Myles force a few less shots. I get that they need to do that to force the issue, but most of those forced shots just start the opponents fast break.
