Does anyone know of a site that conveniently shares history of X line ups? I've searched with no luck.

If you go here: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/stats/_/id/2752/xavier-musketeers you will see the stats of all the players on the team this year and can click the drop down on the left where it says "year" and it goes all the way back to 2001-2002 so you can see all the players on the roster and their stats.

I know that isnt super far back though, I'm sure others know of better sites to look at.

This thread made me go back and refresh my memory on David West's stats senior year and I had forgot that we have 4 guys averaging double figure scoring and 2 of those 4 averaged 18 or more with west averaging 20 and Sato going for 18/game. That was rounded out by 12 for Chalmers and 10 for Myles.

8 guys averaged 11 mins or more.

Man that team did not live up to its potential.

I think they lived up to their potential. They were a three seed, which is currently the best we've ever done. Just had a bad day at the wrong time.

2007 team, looking back, was a stacked lineup... was underseeded and should have fouled Ron Lewis...
-Doellman, Cage and Cole as seniors
-Duncan, Burrell, Lavender as juniors
-D. Brown and BJ frosh & soph, respectively...

On the way back from Lexington after that game, I'm pretty sure that no one in the car said a word. Possibly the worst loss I have experienced in my Xavier history.

Yeah true, ideally would have made it past the second round but the tourney is the ultimate any given day scenario. Maryland was a tough 6 seed too.

If you remember we shouldn't have even played Maryland that game but Juan Dixon hot that fall away miracle 3 against UNC Wilmington as time expired. Remember that shot like it was yesterday it was at like 1 am

Yeah, I was in the building for that shot. It sucked. Hard.

Must have been rough to be there.

I was on Spring Break in Daytona FL and one car of guys decided to stay behind so we could watch the game but it was going to really set us back getting back to St. Louis. The fact we lost at the end like that made the drive all that much worse and we arrived in St. Louis as the sun was coming up the next day. There were 4 of us but 1 guy didnt have a license. The last hour and a half of the trip we were all so tired we changed drives about every 15 mins, not a good situation but I was definitely not missing that game.

Drew Nicholas hit the shot.

From about 35 feet out. Wilmington had some freshman go crazy from 3 that night. Their star player actually kinda sucked. And they should have won anyway. Oh well.

That was such a frustrating game. What I remember is West getting us within 3 or 4 but then in the last 4 minutes for some reason he stopped getting the ball.

Yeah, Xavier can't get lucky every year. That team (besides Nicholas) still had a few holdovers from the team that won the national title the previous year.

I stand corrected

Not "possibly" for me. That is the single most devastating loss I've ever seen as an X fan. The non-flagrant foul on Oden. The no foul on Lewis. The three pointer. The OT. The Seeding. The tournament. Everything about that make it the worst loss ever.

Maybe it was a necessary evil, just like the 2003 Maryland loss. Look what happened in each of the subsequent seasons in March.

Perhaps....but it does nothing to soothe the memory......just like 2004 doesn't make Aaron "effing" Boone's homer any easier to take. That 2003 series still burns.
