I don't know about everyone else, but I'm ready to get the taste of last night out of my mouth and get back to winning. Who's in? Driving from Michigan for the day with my younger brother. We will be in 305.

I'll be in 305, row 16 with a group of 6. First time seeing X play at Butler, can't wait to bring home a win.

Is the best way to get tickets (this late) through Stub Hub and the like?

I'd go through vividseats. They tend to be cheaper and have the same tickets as stubhub. The cheapest pair on stubhub after fees is 138, whereas that same pair after fees on vivid is about 117.

I bought three together in 116 on Monday and prices have dropped a little. FTW is correct - seats are the same and Vivid was usually a bit cheaper.

As someone who works in sports/ticketing, this is my public service announcement:

I use StubHub and Vivid Seats and the like, but know that doing so is a risk akin to buying from a scalper outside the venue. There is no guarantee your tickets are valid or legitimate. While the overall percentage is low, this happens more than it ever should. Now, these sites are good at giving you other seats or your money back to stay in business, but that won't necessarily help that evening. Please buy at your own risk and don't yell at the people in the Box Office when your seat has been resold to someone else by a scammy broker.

That is the KEY. When I went to the National Championship game for ND in 2012 we got seats through ND- when we got to our actual seats people were sitting there, we had to go to the ticket office to get it sorted out. Their tickets were the ones that were duplicated, they paid $1100 to a scalper outside the stadium and were SOL, they were also escorted out of the stadium right before kickoff.

I can't imagine that feeling of spending that much and then being forced out.

Who the hell would give a scalper standing outside the stadium $1100? At that price just buy online to make sure you know you have tickets. I've used vivid and stubhub at least 100 times and have never had a problem.

How did you both get in with the same tickets?

Maybe the bogus ticket had a barcode that had a reading for standing room only encrypted somewhere.

Yeah I have used Stubhub at least 100 times as well from everything to getting $5 tickets to a Reds game to Super Bowl tickets and never had a single issue. Not saying people might not but I have not and I would imagine the people who do have issues get pretty satisfactory responses.

I dont think I would say its akin to buying from a scalper outside the stadium.

Hope everyone going to the game and sitting upper deck in reading for an ass pounding (nothing to do with the game) those cement seats are quite the treat at that crappy fieldhouse!

Not to derail this thread, but I have heard 2 stories in the last 2 weeks that there are venues and brokers being involved in class action suits, due to the fact that only 10% of concert tickets are made available available to the public. Most are brokered by the promoter or artist to resale companies. That is why concerts routinely sell out in under 2 minutes anymore.

I have heard of this as well. Luckily, I won't ever pay more than $50 for a single show again. I stick with smaller venues that show cool indie bands.

Oh yeah, Marquette fans...wait could be wrong thread.

Not sure what kind of ass pounding you are preparing for, but the seats in the upper level bleachers are padded wood, or wood if in the upper part of the section. Should be a fun game.

Looks like you'd better wear oxygen masks. How about a class action lawsuit vs Butler for Mesothelioma cases?

Anyone have a good recommendation for a restaurant near the stadium? Or somewhere within a few miles.

I am in.

There's an X on the Road Event starting at 11:30 at the Meridian (link (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj44dWmu_LKAhUO-2MKHQTMAUoQFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.meridianonmeridian.com%2F&usg=AFQjCNFJcS4eOycbkGssM2U6cN1VVULgbg&bvm=bv.114195076,d.cGc)). It does cost $20 per person at the door to get in (cheaper if you RSVP online).
Other restaurants that ate close:

Binkley's (Link (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjruKXEu_LKAhVR4WMKHQBRB1AQFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.binkleyskitchenandbar.com%2F&usg=AFQjCNFpJYwt_XGJRzZvKn7FWy_yWUTV2Q&bvm=bv.114195076,d.cGc))
Broad Ripple Tavern (Link (http://www.broadrippletavern.com/))
Hopcat (Link (http://hopcat.com/broad-ripple))

If you don't manage to secure tickets to the game, there is a watch party at the Blind Owl Brewery as well (link (http://www.blindowlbrewery.com/)). Though it's a brewery the watch party is located in a family friendly area of the restaurant.

I second that. It is at College and 59th Street more commonly known as Kessler Blvd. east and North of Hinkle by several miles.
