How was that not a catch by Carolina?!?
If it's a rout, I saw it going the other way....
No idea on the catch call.

Damn, Carolina is super tight. Playing awful.
Man, huge idiotic penalty on Denver.
Cam is too jacked up, but Talib is a moron.
A moron who could cost his teammates a ring.

Damn, Manning looks old.

Manning has a wet noodle for an arm now. It's a testament to Denver's defense that they have gotten this far and may win this thing.

St. X had another SB participant tonight, the pianist for Lady Gaga tonight is a St. X grad!
Luke playing well.
Denver's D has been unreal.

I think some of their songs are ok, but that halftime show overall was a dud.

Should have just had lady Gaga do the halftime show as well...at least it would have been entertaining.

Carolina has been beyond underwhelming, but they're one big play away from winning. Crazy.

Crazy? How may teams win a SB without an offensive TD? That could just happen here.

Should still count. That wasn't REALLY an offensive TD.

Really happy for Peyton. Even if he is a shell of himself, awesome he gets to go out on top.
Anyone see Papa John give Peyton the kiss on his way out to field to celebrate?? Ha.

Oh and what was with Newton not diving for that fumble???
Wade for MVP.
Even though, you know, he's not a P.

Denver's defense of course played great, but their offense sucked donkey balls, and Carolina continually shot themselves in the foot. It was a bad game for a championship.

Every team who had #1 defense who played in SB since the 85 bears won the SB except Seattle last year. This game should have been seen coming from a mile away.
Denver's D was not to be denied.

Wow, Cam Newton. What a big baby. There is a reason why people don't care for him. Way to handle the loss like an immature pu$$y.

The question he walked out on was "how does it feel to let down your brothers (teammates)?"
I just think that's a horrible question, but clearly got the reaction they wanted.

Sporting News published the transcript of the questions. According to them, the last question was, "Q: I know you're disappointed not just for yourself, but for your teammates. It's got to be real tough."

I had trouble hearing the questions myself.

Honest Q: Why do so many people care if a player, immediately after a huge loss, is super personable or friendly to the media?
Most fans don't even seem to like the media, but once a player they don't like treats the media wrong it is a huge uproar. Is it only an excuse or bullet in the chamber to use against a player you don't like? For the life of me, I couldn't care less about a player not giving a great press conference after a game. Yes, he is a professional and that is part of his responsibility, but as a fan why should I care? I get the reporters have a job to do and should be treated with respect, but it's not like he started personally attacking any of them. If anything, he gave them a better story than they would have had if he just got up and gave canned answers.
Cam is well-liked and deeply active in his community. His teammates like him. He plays the game like (very possibly) no QB ever before. Who gives a $%!@ that his answers after LOSING THE FREAKING SUPER BOWL weren't what reporters wanted.
I will never get the faux morality constantly imposed onto sports in the most arbitrary ways.

I'm with you. This faux morality also isn't even consistently applied, which just makes it hypocritical to boot.

Meh, if the guy is going to parade around and celebrate everything when things go well the least he could do is sit through an interview when it doesn't. I don't care about any of that, I think it's refreshing what he does on the field. But be a man after a loss.
Moreso, he admitted he didn't go for his fumble because he didn't want to get hurt. I wouldn't love it but also get that in the regular season (we saw how everyone was questioning why dalton tried to make that tackle)...but it's in the super bowl. Only chance your team has of winning the SB at that moment is you getting that ball and you don't because your afraid? Come on.

If Cam recovers the ball, it's 4th and 10 from inside their own red zone.
Also, Chris Harris was being interviewed right next to him.

I am a Peyton Manning fan but I do find it interesting that I dont ever remember hearing about how he walked off the field before the game ended in the SB against the Saints and didnt even go to shake Brees' hand or anyone else's. Maybe it was news and I just dont remember but seems if so it was quietly discussed. I also find it interesting he put his freaking balls on the face of a female trained looking at his leg in college and I had never heard about it. Maybe the new news and social media play a role but I was reminded several times this season and month leading up to SB about Newton's transgressions in college.

Yeah, we all noticed it as well. It was weird in real time -- even the announcers didn't seem to want to touch it. I don't give a crap about what he said after the game, and I doubt his teammates do either. But wussing out after coughing up the ball? That's going to have an effect in the locker room.

Right on two counts, GG. He is immature and he is a pussy. Oh, and his father sold him to Auburn for $100,000. So, there's that. It has nothing to do with the Super Bowl, but I just had to say it.

Actually it was $180,000 and it was from Mississippi State and he didn't go there. So the only one the joke is on are the morons at Mississippi State.
Ask Gene Chizik and Auburn who both made millions off Cam if they regret having him as their QB.

Especially given the fact that as lame as Manning is @ 39, he tried to tackle the guy that intercepted his pass in the 2nd half. That made Newton look even worse by not trying to recover his own fumble.
