X should be heavily favored to win the next 3 although MU is very solid. However 21-2 seems realistic along with what looks like a top 5 ranking for the next 2 weeks (A&M just lost). Then comes 2/9 in Omaha and the gauntlet to follow. All the remaining road games will be against un-ranked teams albeit top 100 rpi. and hostile venues. Couple that with 2 games at Cintas against top 10 competition. I say even money to split the 6 and get to the Creighton finale at 24-5. Win that game, finish the regular season at 25-5 and arguably the greatest Xavier team ever record wise, but I am saving my $50 cigar for the Final 4.....:spaz::spaz:

One game at a time. DePaul beat us last year at home.......

Every win is another middle finger to the preseason pundits that didn't even have this team ranked.

But yeah, one game at a time. Winning games in the Big East is hard.

It is fun thinking about the possibilities but...

Winning games in the Big East is hard.

...and it should be. That is what we signed up for, after all.

GO X - BEAT DePAUL!

We're not playing the games, so we are free to discuss games that are not next on the docket.

Not moving our record to 21-2 would be a disappointment, with DePaul, St. John's, and Marquette all coming next. After those three, we have a BRUTAL final 7-game stretch.

I love this conference.

And when not leaving the game at halftime.

Whoops, sorry, I got mixed up. Such a game never happened.

Thank You!

We do not need to take it one game at a time...we don't play in the games! I can look ahead as much as I damn well please because my lack of intensity on my couch watching from Baltimore will not impact the game in any way.

That being said, if we go 21-2 and then lose 3 of the last 7 (and yes, I know it is a BRUTAL stretch) I would be disappointed. Our team this year is really special, and really special teams can overcome stretches like that and only lose 1 or 2. But who knows? a #1 or #2 seed would be awesome, and I am not sure 6 losses (including the BE tourney if that were to happen) gets us there.

Or, more accurately, while not sitting near PMThor wearing a powder-puff, pansy-@$$ed-shade-of-blue snuggie knockoff.

If I'm not mistaken, we should be seeing a very special, annual post after our boys beat Marquette to get to 9-2 in the league.

I am enjoying a league where the crap teams are St. Johns, DePaul, and Marquette. That's some crap with name recognition if nothing else this year.

And yes, you are correct Go. I have the post ready to fire......

I do not miss all the bubble talk from last year (and our Sweet 16 team). This is much more fun.

PM Thor gave Snuggies a bad name.

I live to take these games 100 at a time. Which is why I always seem three seasons ahead of everyone else

To be fair, I'm not sure too many people on this board had us ranked preseason either.
