Musketeers alternate uniforms

I was thinking the other day, when was the last time "Musketeers" was on our jersey? With such a unique nickname, I'm surprised it's not used more. Found this pic of Jeff Massey circa 1991.

I'd like to see it in today's font, maybe even with the sword. I would only want to wear these at home though.

Finally, would it ever be acceptable to go with "Muskies?"

These are the best ones we've ever had imo. Also, probably best uniforms period. Can't beat the running muskie.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a vintage jersey with "MUSKIES" on it. It looks really sharp. It looks better than one of Georgetown's alternate jerseys with that big "G" on its chest.

Let me clarify, I'm not talking about a new throwback. I'd like to see a new modern uniform with Musketeers. Instead of just alternate colors we would have alternate styles.

we havent had a throwback uniform night since at least the 11-12 season. I was just thinking about it the other day. I always like the game where they would wear those uniforms because they were always pretty cool.

Yeah you're probably right. The Google search Xavier Musketeers 1991 yielded that photo so I just went with it.

im always hesitant to use the term muskies just because i always think of the fish and know that non xavier people will think the same thing.

1) No wonder Muskieman doesn't make himself known around here more often. Such a shame.

Actually, the throwbacks we wore during the 2011-12 season were not the baby blue ones, but "early to mid-2000s" throwbacks, and we wore against Richmond.

The sweet baby blue ones we wore the prior season against Temple. Those were really awesome.

I was in the bookstore last weekend. Can you believe out of 60-70 hat selections, they didn't have ONE that said "Big East Conference" with the X. Asked for help, "sorry no Big East Hats". Pitiful.
