Tuesday will be a battle. Hope that Providence will have a let down and we bring it

Inexplicably, Providence has struggled more at home than on the road. I do think our defense will give them fits. It should be a fun one.

Wow, that was fun. I love this league.
What a great conference to be in. You've got to be ready every game!

That's great for us, need Nova to lose another one, and we can tie this baby up before we knock em down ;)

What's good in addition to Providence winning is that they may be emotionally drained this week when X goes there to play them. Playing an OT game helps a bit, too. Though I must say when Arcidiaccano(sp) made that three at the end of regulation, it made me hate him more that I already did before he took that shot. I didn't think that was possible.

As a side note, if I am thinking correctly, Providence will be the third straight Xavier foe who will have played Villanova the game immediately preceding the game against X.

Providence only played 8 players and got little from their bench. Hopefully our depth will wear them down. One on one matchups will be difficult.
Ben Bentil plays the way I dreamed Jalen would play this season.

Talk is that he's a NBA first rounder next year as well.

It's gonna be a battle cause u all know what happens. Some guy for providence who averages 2 pts a game is gonna come off the bench and score 15 first half points. Seems to Happen every game lol

I'm with my two guys '82 and MOR.
The Big East is great.
Important, competitive games against tough, worthy opponents -- day in, day out, every night.
This is terrific.
Tuesday can't come soon enough.
Go X!

that was a great game. It will be a tough game Tuesday, but I think we match up fairly well against Providence.

Jalen would match up with Bentil....if he wants to have his head in the game. If not, I'd give Kaiser a shot at him.

I've gained very much respect for the Friars and their program over the last three years. I genuinely cheer for them when not playing X.

That game on the National over the air Fox network was a fantastic showcase for the league. There could not have been a better representation of the "New" Big East than that. Even casual fans who wanted to see something before the NFL games tuned in.
I believe that the League has done it's job in establishing itself as quality sports programming. Fox has to be happy with the product they are getting across the board. Let's just have a better NCAA result this year. Would love to see 2-3 teams in the Elite 8, at least.

Not sure what the rating was for that game - it would have been better had Fox had the 3 PM timeslot for the NFC Championship game.

I would guesstimate a pretty strong rating since most people were snowed in in the Northeast.

You can't use Farr. He's too valuable under the basket. In man to man Bluiett would be the closest match.
