If someone has that twitter deal, send him a tweet (?) for me and let him know he can bite me.

If you're the kind of person that's going to get pissed off every time someone doesn't kiss your ass, then you're going to go through most of your life being very pissed off.

Who gives a shit what Jay Bilas says during a game that has nothing to do with Xavier or the Big East?

Jay Bilas has already said nice things about Xavier today. I'm starting to believe that Bilas is less biased, more not a very accurate commentator.

I know. If anything it was something he said offhandedly, and said "major conference" instead of "power five conference."

I'm watching UT Arlington v Arkansas Little Rock online (unfortunately). The commentator said that he thought these were the two best mid majors this year. Wichita State fans are anything like us, they're probably all kinds of pissed off right now about how that commentator has no respect for Wichita State.

Wichita State would beat those teams like a rented mule. Of course, I've never seen either of those teams play. But I'm probably not wrong.

You're not wrong, but that really wasn't my point.

I know. But I'm pretty sure the part of this thread where people make cogent points is over.

Well then on that note, I did htink both teams had a chance to end up inside the bubble if they blew through the league. I also thought UT Arlington was the better team. But, Little Rock is absolutely kicking their ass, and they're the road team. I think I've now changed my mind. But, you're right that Wichita is better than both of them.

Actually, both those teams have been pretty impressive this year, while Wichita struggled without Van Vleet. Still... Since we're talking disrespect, why does KenPom rate us so low? I don't have a subscription, so I don't know how it works, but I just see it having us as #16 behind a lot of teams I think we're solidly better than.

I really think the Big 12 is a great conference, but come on, the Big East is absolutely quality too. Bilas obviously can't say the Big East is the best conference, but man. That's something else.

that comment he said was stupid about the round robin by completely discounting the Big East. But, he did pick Xavier during college gameday as one of his teams that could win a title

You can pick apart every "analyst" or "commentator". They are constantly talking (it's their job after all), mostly off script. Everyone screws up or forgets something that is bound to make the affected fanbases feel slighted.

if you aren't a big east fan and you watch an FS1 broadcast or college basketball related show you would probably hate every announcer/analyst on there.

It actually ended up being a crazy finish.

As for Wichita, they have just two losses at full strength, and one of those was a close loss at Seton Hall with Van Vleet. I think UALR and UTA have been impressive (that's why I was watching), but still think Wichita is better.

As for Ken Pomeroy's ratings, I used to understand them, but he made some changes and I don't really know precisely how they work anymore. I do know that he's not really concerned with merit, but rather a team's winning probability. I also know that blowing out weak teams can move you up as much as sweating out good teams can.

Actually, I'll stop. I don't know why Xavier is #16 in his ratings. You can ask him, and he'll explain it to you, but you'll probably end up with a headache.

Wichita has zero losses at full strength. And they're just murdering MVC teams.

I thought they had everyone when they lost to Seton Hall and Tulsa. I guess not.

Who cares..so he probably forgot. The big 12 is the best conference, anyone that knows anything about basketball can clearly see that.

Xavier dropped from 7th to 15th after the Georgetown loss.

No Frankamp at Tulsa, and no VanVleet really. No Grady at Seton Hall. Landry Shamet may still come back this year, and he's been out since before Orlando.
