Though we grew up in the same town a year apart, never met him, but saw him back up Seeger early.

He played with the last Eagles tour in Detroit last year, appeared frail. Talented songwriter.

Saw the Eagles a few years back on the 'Long Road out of Eden' tour. Glad I did. It was a great concert. Sad to hear of Glenn dying so young.

The older I get the more I appreciate The Eagles. Even though I was born in the 70's, my mind depicts 70's music as a California sun-drenched orange and brown, post-hippy vibed, laid back beach with a Frey, Henley Walsh and Schmidt playing the music.

Move to the 80's and my mind goes to a more aggressive baseline, with Flea & a young Red Hot CP scene...but I digress.

Wish I had been more motivated to have seen them live.

Take it Easy is also the song that woke me up to my worst hangover of the 1990's.
