Compares us to some of the Duke teams he has coached and throws tons of praise at Farr.

We should have a list of every broadcaster, writer and coach who says that Xavier can win a NC.

They're coming off the bench!...They're coming off the bench!

Nothing to make a note of here. Of course a conference coach will say this about a top 5-10 team in their conference who just easily took care of his team.

I liked his response when talking about Trevon (specifically) and X players (in general) and how good they are, "It just sucks for us!"

This was a bit different than the usual coachspeak pandering. He supported his position with substance, comparing Xavier to his previous experience on the staffs of other championship teams. Not saying that X will win the title just because the head coach of Marquette believes we're good enough. But I do believe X is good enough to win a title and it's cool that a coach who knows a lot more about that than I do also believes it.

I liked that, too. He seems like a regular dude.

Watched the whole thing. Really like his style. He's going to get Marquette back to prominence again. It may take another 2-3 years but I have no doubt he will.

And then he'll leave when K retires.

Yep. He's already making statements like "In my time at Marquette..." One foot out the door.

Agree, amazing that a Marquette coach is this saying this about us! Didn't we lose 2x each year to McGuire in the 60s and 70s. Never thought we'd turn the tables on Marquette.

MU still leads series 47 - 20.
Going to take a lot of years of domination to catch up with that...
If we win twice a year and sneak a post season win a couple of times we're talking 12-15 years.

Xavier is 5-1 against Marquette since joining the Big East.
