Has anyone noticed that Xavier's in a stretch of four games playing an opponent right after they play Villanova?
Marquette earlier today, Georgetown Tuesday, Seton Hall next Saturday, and then Providence.
Maybe I'm reading way too much into it, but I think that this may help Xavier, in terms of playing them second compared to Villanova. With teams always gunning for the top teams, Xavier could be playing teams that are a bit more mentally fatigued or over-excited than normal (if they beat Villanova). Of course this isn't taking into consideration home court advantages. It could be considered somewhat like WVU just playing Kansas and Oklahoma, beating Kansas (home) the first game and losing to Oklahoma (away) today. I just found this interesting and thought I'd post it. Of course, if someone has already mentioned this somewhere, feel free to delete this post.
