I'll be there. Heading up from DC in the morning. I'll be in the upper portion (don't know final seats yet, Christmas present).
Tony Luke's, Pat's, or any other recs on Cheesesteaks? And I'll try to stay away from the one Dayton ate :).

A big Nova booster friend can't go and gave me his tix behind the XU bench. I will be joined by St. X classmate, also big XU fan, coming up from DC area.
Is there a pre-game spot, albeit early?

Good question, although with a noon game, what about a post game spot?

Does anyone know if tickets are still available outside of stubhub? Potentially looking for 2.

A good travel activity might be for you guys to come up with more creative messageboard names.

Here are my two recommendations for pregame/postgame...
Kelly's is a pretty typical college bar. Nice beer selection. Mediocre food.

Two blocks further from Nova is Gullifty's - much nicer, bigger beer selection, very good food but certainly more expensive.

FYI, I've lived on the Main Line for the past five years. Let me know if you have any more questions about the area.

Xavier tanked against the Mighty Dukes to ensure it would not become a permanent tradition.

The game itself sucked, but the entire day and night surrounding that game was awesome to the max. I still laugh my ass off at memories from that weekend.

Can someone spearhead a charter flight to Philly for the day? Leave Lunken around 7, get back around 6?

Sean Miller?
I toldd you to NEVER Mention that name around MOR! It'll be two hours of raccoon face and an epileptic fit!
To divert him, let's whisper " Linda, oh Linda Bru......."
Maybe not.

Hey folks - for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Pavilion...I'm sorry in advance. Especially coming from your digs. Really. I almost hope you win, just to compensate you for making the trek to such a terrible arena.

Nova is in the works of either renovating the Pavilion or building a new one aren't they?

I sat in a large group on Nova fans last year at MSG during the championship game wearing my X gear. I have to say they were some of nicest fans of another team I have come across. Very complimentary of X (easier to do when Villanova was killing X I suppose) and happy that X beat up Georgetown. Is Georgetown your version of Dayton?

Supposedly, but the prevailing sentiment is of the "lipstick on a pig" variety. The structural layout of the building has a lot of limitations that will be difficult to overcome without a complete re-do.
With the presence of the Wells Fargo Center, the urgency to dump a ton of cash into it just isn't there.

St. Joe's is our Dayton. Georgetown is much hated, but as a peer.
