With Iowa State losing we should check in at #6 in both polls. Kentucky will stay Top 10 but they will fall behind us. Duke will fall out of the Top 10. And UNC will move up, but they won't leap-frog a team with our resume. We're not sneaking up on anyone at this point. Hell, there was discussion during our game today of us being a #1 seed. And frankly from what I've seen so far, there's no reason to believe we can't achieve that.

My stomach just dropped thinking of that, ugh.

We take care of business I dont see us losing any home game. And while Wake is certainly a quality opponent on the road we should be able to win that game. While I think we are better than Nova they are still a tough team and will be at home. I am sure there is also a sort of mental hurdle to clear with being able to beat them for the first time.

Uh, Jimmy Farr averages more points and rebounds and almost the same Blocked Shots than Ellis. Plus his team beat the freaking Borecats by Double Dits and is ranked 6th.

Oh, and so far this year, Jimmy hasn't been posterized by a Point Guard dunk. ESPN is a piece of sheet, and has lost 10% of it's viewers this year according to Awful Announcing. F-em!

It may be possible. Virginia was losing nearly the entire game at home versus Cal and had to use a 6-0 run in the last 25 seconds of OT to beat them. That doesn't sound as convincing as coming back after being down 18 on the road against a very good team in Virginia's same conference. So, maybe on this basis they move up a spot.

I remember Gary Parrish 2 or 3 weeks ago saying that he wanted to put George Washington in his top 25, but he had to wait for someone to lose.

No, you don't, Gary. If you think a team is worthy of being ranked, that mean that you think another team is not. So, essentially, you are admitting that your list is wrong until that fix happens.
