THAT'S TEAMWORK: Coreontae DeBerry eluded Reynolds for the lay-up that brought the Bearcats within five points. Mack was about to sub in Farr to discuss the defensive lapse with Reynolds.
Just then, Reynolds scored and was fouled by DeBerry.
“I look at James. James says to me, ‘Coach, let’s leave him in.’ I don’t know how many kids would want to do that,” Mack said. “It says a lot about James buying into his role and only caring about our team doing really well. Obviously, Jalen played tremendous down the stretch.

That's from the Enquirer this morning.
I love this team, and that young man is a big reason for that.

James Farr is quickly gaining legendary status with me. He epitomizes what it's like to work hard and grow as a player over 4 years and he seems like a great guy.

From the very first game I saw him play against Fairly Ridiculous, Jimmy Farr has been one of my favorites. The kid cares so much- about everything and has no "entitlement issues" . He simply accepted his past demotions with the determination to get better. Then he worked hard to get there.

His emergence thius season seems a surprise, only because the jump from Jr to Sr was so huge. I saw him play twice when he prepped in Maine. He stood out as the best player on both ends of the floor. To me, that he didn't see huge success earlier was the big surprise, but then prep sometimes is very deceiving.
I was talking to his mom in Orlando, they are holding out hope that he gets an NBA contract rather than something overseas. I think his results so far this season are pushing him in that direction.

Unless we see even further improvement before the end of the year, I just don't see him getting drafted. I definitely see him at least getting a shot in the NBA summer league though and could see him surprising a lot with a contract. If he can be making such massive strives as a senior, there's no reason he can't keep doing it the next few years.

Farr has been terrific this season. Willing to do anything for the sake of the team.
Well you can't say he isn't motivated. Senior year, holy shit I gotta get a Job next year. As good a reason as any to focus and dig deep. Really a wonderful season so far, it's easy to savor his success.
What I love and admire about our teams: guys who come and learn to play at the top. I thought Mack was a questionable choice, before his first season. So glad I was so wrong. I'm drinking the kook aid and it tastes so good.

That explains a lot.

At 6'10" with his ability to shoot a jump shot and bang around down low for boards and put backs, I wouldn't write off anything at this point.

Just keep doing what he's doing. Be The Man.

I honestly think this makes him a better pro prospect than Reynolds. I think Farr rebounds better, passes better (although not by much), and shoots from the outside better. I think Reynolds is a better college player, but I do think there's a slim chance of Farr getting a summer league contract and being able to show some skills that translate to the NBA.

And with players in the past this might translate as: "I gotta get in the game, pad my stats, make the highlight reel / my name on sports center...get noticed."
James realizes, perhaps, in the "All For One" spirit, the success of the team overall will benefit him personally/professionally) as well as his teammates, the program, the University maybe even the community at large (in the sense that it makes UC look bad by comparison).
Just maybe.

He can definitely hit the glass with NBA players imo. He seems to have a pretty good idea and instinct of how and where the balls gonna come off the rim. He's a big, strong, near 7ft tall, grown man that can carve out his space. If X needed one big defensive rebound to get to the Final 4, I can't think of any other big man in college ball I would rather go get it. James goes for 10pts 12reb n 1blk today.
