That's actually a touch lower than I expected. I'm not going to touch it, though, because I expect a bit of a letdown.
I don't blame you, that's a lot of points against anybody.
Even if we covered, it should hurt our RPI enough that we fall behind the Mighty Choo Choo's of Chattanooga.

Mack isn't the type of coach to run up the score. Especially against a local team. X may get up 30 but Mack will put in the walk ons if needed which will bring the score back down. Hopefully we will get to see more of both London and Gates because we fans need to debate this issue some more.

Excellent point, Mad...! I think our kids will tend to read the word, 'Xavier,' written across the front of their shirts and assume they'll win by 35 points against a relatively new D-1 college. Unfortunately, as young men they may forget what Northern Iowa did to #1 UNC for having the same attitude. I believe that Coach Mack will probably use that game as a warning against such a laissez-faire attitude. But I also believe that Chris will also relish the opportunity to give London and Gates some significant minutes if he has the chance to do so.

Northern Iowa on the road and Northern Kentucky at home aren't really similar in any way. Maybe Georgetown/Radford is a more apt comparison.

I dont think we'd have to be running up the score to beat them by 30. The starters and key guys will probably play at least 30 of the 40 mins no matter the score and then our backups should be at least able to maintain whatever lead we've built.
You guys see what WVU did to them?

I'm hoping for much less than 30 mins for all 5 of our starters. Got quick 60 Hour turnaround against Bama Thursday at noon.

Watched a little bit of NKU's game vs. Morehead. X should be able to force a lot of turnovers. Jalen and Farr should feast down low. Billups is a decent post player for the Norse, but will be at a size disadvantage since he's only 6'6''.
Will also be a good opportunity for O'Mara, Gates and London to get some minutes.

Saw something in the paper this morning that tipoff has been moved back to 8:45 at the request of FS1.

Should've been 6:30/9:00 start times. I'll keep saying it till I'm blue in the face. 2 hours between tip times doesn't work.

Same. Think this will be a good game for London and Gates to show the coaching staff what they are capable of doing on the court vs competition other than the X team.

I dont mean 30mins played for each, just mean our good players (first 9) playing the majority of the game before going to scrub players and walk ons, etc.

True! Which makes it all that more likely we hang onto whatever (hopefully) big lead we have when the first 7-8 guys sit.
