Thumbs up or thumbs down; or what beard and who gives a hoot? (Me thinks it gives him kind of a Jedi look)

I love it. He looks every bit like a member of the "cool jazz" scene.

Having worn a beard for 43years, I'm prejudiced. The kid looks a lil older and meaner. A good player though

Jacob Pullen would approve of the beard. As do I.

Speaking of beards....I hate shaving but I never usually go longer than 1 week not shaving. But I started to get some really bad irritation and I have now gone 4 weeks as of today without shaving and I cant wait to go home and shave now, I cant stand the beard. I dont think it looks great on me and I am constantly itching it or playing with it. No good. My ideal beard length is 2-3 days. Wish I could keep it that length permanently.

An offseason beard is a no brainer. Everyone knows you can lift more with a beard. A bigger beards means higher weight and higher reps which equals stronger players. Maybe his issue is he got a little too strong in the offseason due to his beard and needs to readjust his 3 pt shot? The added strength has seemed to improve his inside game though so you have to take the good with the bad.

Google "beard trimmers." Not trying be a smart ass, either. I had the same problem as you, went to CVS and bought a trimmer and it can be at 2-3 day length permanently. And its quick and easy to use once you figure out your preferred setting.

Thanks, I'll do that. I think I tried one before but I think it was cheap and didnt work great. What kind do you have?

Thumbs down, but if the ladies like it I wouldn't fault him for keeping it.

I grew mine in grad school so I would look older than the students I was teaching. That was in 1970-1971, and I have never shaved it off. So my 44-45 year old beard makes me prejudiced as well.

If Myles wants to grow hair, his options seem to be limited... so... go for it!

I had a scruffy, patchy beard in college that was the only flaming red hair on my body. It was an odd sight and Myles looks like a GQ model compared to that.

No doubt but at my age, it probably makes me look more like Santa Claus.

Not a fan.
I like all player clean cut and sharp. No fashion statements please.
Ex: Stainbrooks look was sloppy last year but he played well.
I may give it a pass if he makes 3 threes a game.

Dig the beard....

Got to figure he'll keep it tight...

Further lengthening could produce Isis comments from unfriendly crowds

I'm trying to think of a player in the last 20 years who didn't have some element of a fashion statement in his appearance. Maybe Tom Compton?

I think the beard looks solid. Let it grow, Brother Myles.
