Nice that it is in staggering distance from Dana's and Listerman's.

Seems like a logical place for visiting teams to stay.

Seems like a logical place for visiting teams to stay.

Especially when you consider all of the various sports....baseball, basketball(mens and womens), volleyball, soccer(mens and womens) etc.

And their courage will be enhanced as a result of hanging out in your establishment.

I thought XU planned a hotel near campus as part of the new development? No?

Xavier's development partner is in charge of all the planning for U Station. A hotel/office was reflected in one of the conceptual drawings for the Phase I / II plan, but I believe the hotel option lost steam when the Courtyard opened up on Edwards Road.

You may remember the Xavier Square version of the development, which was to be developed by the Corporex Cos. before the Great Recession hit. It contemplated a hotel, too, but obviously the economic collapse got in the way of that.

This is close to Xavier, right? It's a 9 iron from Danas and the closest hotel the campus has ever had. As a frequent business traveler, I seek out Hilton Garden Inn locations. It is a full service hotel, with a restaurant/bar, and usually priced in the $130-140 range. Much nicer than a Hampton Inn, and just a little higher price. I've even snagged an HGI room at $100-110 from time to time.

That must have been what I was remembering. I wasn't aware that they killed the plan.
