It's time to blow up college campuses and start over.
Were these Georgetown athletes living under a rock until this speaker came to campus? They must legitimately be the only people who didn't know that Nikes - and just about every other big brand product out there - are made using questionable labor practices. Wait until they hear that the people who make that iPhone they took that picture with routinely throw themselves off of buildings just to not have to work in the horrendous conditions anymore.

You'd think if the XU administration is thinking they would be worried about any potential signs. They might be wise to get out in front of any potential ideas the students might have.

How Can You Tell You've Never Been a Victim of Actual Terrorism and Have Absolutely No Perspective?
You think being called shitty names and having a white professor is the same thing as people being blown up and executed with AK-47s.
Truth be told, bitching about the lack of media attention for what's going on at Mizzou in favor of what's happening in Paris isn't just offensive to those who lost their life or loved one yesterday. It's offensive to all victims of actual terrorism, including the many black men who were hanged from trees for decades just for being black. That's terrorism. Someone calling you a name is hurtful, but at least you get to wake up tomorrow and complain some more about it. Perspective.

Wow. Must really be a horrible place, that Mizzou. You know..so racist that the students selected a Black Student Body President. You know...a place that feels so unsafe that you want to spend SEVEN years in that exact same place. And, You Know....a place that is so full of "my agenda first and only" people that there is no sensitivity for a real, rather than manufactured out of air, tragedy.

Every thing I pointed out there is absolutely true. It's not logic, it's fact. Something else that is evident is that a group of showy rabble rousers with thin evidence was kow-towed to by an overly sensitive media and a scared to death college administration. Even to the point that when the Paris tragedy happened, many of those same rabble rousers were all upset that their spotlight had been stolen.

Apparently you don't know anyone in academia. Asking them to bow to government pressure would be like getting the NRA to fight to close the gun show loophole. The end result makes perfect sense but it's anathema to their existence.

Who exactly are "THEY"?
Missouri is a public school. The Board of Curators are appointed by the governor of the state. Now, generally they don't involve themselves in decisions that involve personnel, but at the same time state lawmakers generally aren't demanding that someone be fired either. When lawmakers get involved, then chances are the board of trustees is the "THEY" who will make the call. They won't think of it as "bowing to government pressure."

Yes, and at any given sporting event thousands of fans are publicly intoxicated right there on video. I'm just a little surprised they're pursuing it. I'm not saying she didn't do it.
