Wouldv'e loved to have Bruce. However, I think it is clear to everyone how packed our backcourt currently is so I can't say I'm surprised. I saw another poster bring up how many of IU's players we've ultimately gotten recently (Holloway, Crawford, Abell) so there is a chance we end up seeing Bruce in Muskie blue :popcorn:

Exactly what I thought as well. Once Bruce figures out how big of an assclown Crean truly is, we might see him on Victory Parkway (if he isn't playing professionally then).

Every "expert" and their mom labels Crean on the hot seat so if he ends up fired maybe we could see another IU guy come over to replace a former IU guy (Brown replacing Remy) after he graduates. Of course that's all earsay but I can't express how thoroughly I would enjoy that.

I understand people might not like the guy, but I don't think the program could have been any more messed up than when he got there. Should they bring Kelvin Sampson back?

Not getting passed the sweet 16 with 2 of the top 4 draft picks probably still doesn't sit well with the fan base.

He's been there since 2008 believe it or not. 7 years is a very long time in college basketball. The fact that he seemed to turn it around with a couple of good teams and then the last 2 years have been well below standard for IU. Add to that a host of issues off the court with players and you have a fan base very much on the edge.

Seven years is a long time for a fake tanned douchebag to be anywhere.

The off the court sticks in the crawl of the IU faithful more then the on the court. They could tolerate transitional years of the team weren't a bunch of jerk offs. My brother, IU alum shares this view and confirms that within his circle that while they want a winner they don't want to have an embarrassment of the court also.

Crean certainly is an asshat. But I'm not sure he can be blamed for the state of IU basketball. He did inherit the shitty remnants of the Davis/Sampson years.

Equally hard was what happened to Megan Crean, Tom and Joani's oldest child.

She's a student at Indiana.

"Megan is remarkable," Joani said before telling a story that … well, man, listen to this story.

"One of her professors, on April 1, announced to the class that Tom Crean got fired," Joani said. "He said 'Tom Crean was fired this morning.' And Megan was sitting in the class. And people cheered. And then the professor said … 'April Fools!'"

I mean, can you imagine? You're a student, sitting in class, surrounded by friends, and your professor is joking about your father being fired. And your classmates are cheering.
