WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Xavier women's soccer team kept one of the top scoring offenses in the conference within striking distance for over 70 minutes, but a score off a penalty kick gave Georgetown a comfortable lead with limited time remaining on the way to a 3-0 loss for the Musketeers.
"Disappointing result today against a very good Georgetown team," said head coach Woody Sherwood (http://goxavier.com/coaches.aspx?rc=44). "We were still in the game, down a goal and gave up an unfortunate penalty kick and that probably put the game away for Georgetown. This may actually be the best we've played against them in our three years in the BIG EAST."
