Practice Has Started!!

Per the new rules, teams can have 30 practices in 42 days before the first game. It's 42 days before the first game!! The first part of the phase-in process that will bring us full blown college basketball is underway!!

All the players pased conditioning on the first try this year. That didn't happen last year.

X's first practice was supposed to be today but Shannon Russell tweeted earlier that they are going to push it back and she would send out more info once she had it... then she ended up deleting that tweet. Interesting..

It's not going to be today; this may be because the practices would not be as staggered out otherwise.

Shannon also posted that Big East media day will be next Wednesday in New York.

You can have thirty before the second Friday in November, and you can start them as early as 42 days before. I personally wouldn't start until next week just to get right into the six days on, one day off routine, but I'm no coach. Most teams have already started practicing, and the people who have decided to do that are a lot smarter than I am.

Agreed. I think its stupid, but don't really care if they continue to do it.
