Are there any Xtreme fans on here? If so, I'd like to challenge you to update the chant that the student section does when a player from the opposing team commits a foul. We've been doing it for well over ten years and it's been idiotic from day one. It's not even original as a number of other schools perform the same chant. Obviously I'm not clever enough to come up with something but surely someone on here can?

The "I Believe That We Will Win" chant was cool when Navy did it because they were the first ones to do it, but it is overdone, unoriginal and has gotten to the point to where it is actually irritating because it's overdone and unoriginal.

The "You You You, Ahhh, YOU SUCK!!" chant is even worse!!! Doing nothing is somewhat pathetic, but I still find it to be less pathetic than doing something a) everyone else does all the time, and b) really wasn't all that creative or funny the first time it was done.

I remember the security guard in front of our section told us we couldn't say "suck," that we had to say, "You fouled."

Really, I find it odd that the OP is specifying this cheer. There are worse ones than that.

I always thought that would be awesome if it could be coordinated. Probably won't ever happen unfortunately.

Just be loud. I don't care about the chants at all, coordinating chants and specific chants can be dumb IMO and the fans think its a lot cooler than it actually is. Just show up and be loud.

I agree. Students should be crazy loud. Avoid the 1990's Duke chants. Be original and please ask the entire student section to get wild every game.

The 90% of the Cintas Center will cheer as they feel they think it helps. Most will sit down and clap. Students don't have an excuse.

What I really hate is when the students start jumping up and down getting loud right before tip-off then after the ball is tipped they immediately get quiet. I cant stand that. If they could keep that up every time the other team had the ball it would be amazing!

I actually like this UC cheer. *ducks* It's fun, easy and catchy without being overly cheesy. Then again, I don't dislike UC like most X fans. I don't like them, just don't dislike them.

I thought the same thing.

Cheering, standing v. sitting, who's in what seat when, the NATIONAL ANTHEM, PEOPLE!!, sound problems, concession stand issues, game start time, bringing your children v. leaving them at home, etc. etc.

Every year we must rehash all of these. It has now become tradition. It brings comfort the masses.

I must be the odd person out because I REALLY enjoy listening to the star spangled banner. Rarely do I not get chills/goosebumps on my arms when listening. I also like getting there 45 minutes early when possible because it becomes more than just a game, it becomes an experience....Chillin, having a cold one, watching the players warm up(both teams), watching students and fans coming into the arena.
