Yesterday was the first edition of the Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic.

First - Xavier defeated Evansville to uphold their end of the deal.

For our game, other than court decals and a video it was business as usual. Halftime was our dance team followed by the MSJ head coach addressing the crowd with a heartfelt speech.

5,000 bobbles were up for grabs, which pretty much meant if you had a ticket and got to the arena you got one. Plenty. MSJ or Cure Starts Now should have several extras for other purposes.

MSJ has a gift kiosk setup next to the X Store and a booth for the Lauren Hill scholarship fund, on the other side Cure Starts Now had a merch table and a basket raffle.

The MSJ game started with a Lauren Hill video and the game started as normal,
Except not. At approximately the time that Lauren scored her first basket last year, both teams stopped playing and did a group huddle on the approximate spot of the shot. I don't think the refs or PA crew knew this was going to happen, which made it all the more awesome. Yes, the clock kept running.

After that it was business as usual. Nothing much more special until the check presentations at halftime and an address by Lisa Hill. And two more videos.

The mount pulled within 5 in the closing minutes but Hiram just proved to be too
Much for them.

If there were more than 2-3 thousand actual fans in the building id be surprised.

They can rely on home alot here in the pre conference season with only one away game, good way to get comfy with the group.
