It was a poor effort for fund raising by the good ol boy network at XU. By the time Uncle one more was on , about 45 minutes late everyone in the room was pretty tried. Silent Auction, followed by the live auction, followed by another attempt to donate 10k , 5k, and 1k, donations, oh then heres Bill for 10 minutes.

This event seemed amateurish and if the school wants to improve on the measly $100M endowment they need to perfect these events, and not bludgeon everyone over the head for money.

Anyone else that attended the event have a report? I've been to a couple of these in the past, and always thought they were well done.

I want a full report! The event itself is to raise money for the AFO fund, so I'm curious to hear what a "poor effort" would be.

What type of gear did they give away? They always had some exclusive and very nice threads to offer, making the cost to participate worth it most years.
