ESPN seems pretty high on the Muskies for next season, largely because of their incredible depth and large number of players poised to make that freshman-to-sophomore jump. Read about it here:http://sports.espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/107872/looking-ahead-xavier-musketeers.

I stopped reading when I read that Remy is the early favorite to start the year at PG.

Not bad. Nothing new to any of us, except he thinks Reny has the edge at the PG spot right now which is news to me. I think he might be mixed up on that one. Maybe he meant Myles.

He also thought Bluiett was unheralded. Not exactly.

Yeah, mentioning Remy for PG with no mention of Myles was a curious thing. Hopefully Austin and Sumner can carry the load, but I saw a lot of Myles with the ball in his hands last year. Hey, they have to write something, they're writers! You want them to really examine every team? That seems like a lot of work. But, all in all, I will take positive articles and be pleased with a little good publicity.

The guy who wrote that piece didn't know too much about Xavier. Where is the name J.P. Maccura? Don't read anything into the omission. His take on Remy as starting point guard is a good indication of his research.

Imo you guys are pretty harsh.... It looks like they're doing this for every team in every conference (at the very least the bigger ones).

Frankly I'm impressed they knew that Sumner and London sat out a year and that Gates would be coming in.

You're never going to get a player by player breakdown and season outlook from these national guys because they have too much to cover. I thought the article was fine.

Jalen Reynolds wasn't mentioned until the 10th paragraph.

I take that as a good thing. We have a bunch of talent and potential. Can't wait.

Clearly, he will be sneaking up on people.

Which is impressive for a man of that size

I have no problem with Xavier being either under the radar or overrated I'll take that just fine

Here's another summer preview on the Big East:

CBSSports.com - Big East Summer School (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25253293/big-east-summer-school-key-players-back-for-villanova-georgetown)

3rd is about as high as you'll see Xavier picked in any publication going forward. Best-case scenario would involve splitting Villanova, Georgetown and Butler and getting more 2-game sweeps this season.

I'm not sure Georgetown would have been much lower than 2nd had Smith-Rivera not returned for his senior season, but Providence would have been a mess had Kris Dunn not returned this year. They also have Marquette as this year's spoiler (like Butler was last season).

Marquetter will be much improved and they are quickly on the upswing. Wojo is doing a really nice job so far.

Does anyone else think that GTown is was overrated? Not just as the number two, but a threat to de-thrown Villanova? They were nowhere close to Nova's stratosphere last year.

I typically find that G-town is among the teams that are always overrated.

Georgetown basketball personnel is not overrated. They have some great players and get great recruits every frickin year. IMO JT III is overrated as a coach.

Absolutely. I've felt for sometime that he's an awful coach. How many years has he been upset as a 3 seed in the first round?
