His quick second jump reminds me of Travis Taylor, who was probably about as bouncy as any recent Xavier Musketeer.

Doesn't matter until he signs on the dotted line...actually doesn't matter until he is deemed eligible and is on campus. However with that said, I like his frame and I like the list of other schools that had interest...I think that is way more important than the star system.

The point about is not mattering until he signs is true, but college basketball is not nearly as bad as football when it comes to kids decommitting and continuing to talk to other schools after they commit. Most of the time if a kid commits to a school he ends up signing there.

The second point is going to be a big one starting for this class. The academic requirements for the 2016 class jumped significantly and something like 43% of the 2015 frosh would not have been eligible under the 2016 guidelines.

The talent pool in the juco ranks is about to get a whole lot better.

Completely agree with this. He may be able to make an impact as a freshman which is nice.

Dez Wells tape was all dunks…and I never saw Montrezl Herrell shoot the ball for Louisville. Literally dunks everything. Similar makeup as Tyrique. Can always use a player like that. I love the addition.

I'd be OK with a dozen rebounds and 2-3 dunks a game. We already have a lot of shooters. Obviously, he needs some game on offense, but a guy to kill it on the glass is appealing. I hope he can be that early as he's coming in a little bigger than most. I wonder how he looks on the boards. Most highlight reels don't show a lot of defensive glass, and all teams need that guy. Too lazy to look up HS stats, but I admit it! Never know what the competition was like, so I wouldn't know what to make of the numbers, anyway.

Just like Jalen he will develop and play within his body. You can't teach athleticism and motor. This young man has the tools to be an excellent basketball player on Victory Parkway. As Coach Mack said today......this is a great day for Xavier basketball.

If he had signed with Duke or UNC he's a 4-star. He might have been discounted when he signed with little 'ol XU (who have been to 5 of the last 8 Sweet 16's).
