Jim Bolger was a great man, and a beloved member of Xavier Nation. Those of us that grew up with any of the Bolger family knew Mr B as a second father a wonderful human being. Thoughts and prayers go out to XSteve and XavierJ on the loss of their father. He will be greatly missed by so many especially on the east side of town.

Jim was a kind and caring man, who loved Xavier as much as he loved helping people. I'm so sorry to hear about Jim, but I'm a so happy that I had a chance to know him.

Thanks for the prayers and support for my Dad and family. He loved Xavier very deeply and is the reason why I am a Xavier graduate and huge fan. He passed peacefully yesterday with his family surrounding him after a fall last week due to his Parkinson's. He will be missed and section 104 row Q seat 17 will be a special place for me when basketball starts up again next fall. Thanks again and it is truly amazing what kind of people we have here at Xavier.
XU82 I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad and and prayers to you and your family.

It's a difficult time, but there's comfort in knowing they are no longer suffering. I am absolutely amazed by the hospital and hospice workers who live with the pain and grieving on a daily basis, and yet still provide the level of care and compassion that they do. That's a different and special breed.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss.

Losing one or both of your parent(s) is something you are never fully prepared for and it leaves you with a hole in your heart. But having family and friends around for support at this time can really help. May your days ahead be filled with wonderful memories of your father and may you find your own special way to keep his spirit alive within you.

God bless you and the rest of your family.
