It probably will end, but here's the thing. Despite liking to claim (falsely) that they are all about academics, people in college athletics are so out of touch that they don't realize their terminology doesn't match up with that of the academic world.

A student who graduates, and enrolls at a different institution as a graduate student, isn't transferring. So, why should there be a transfer rule for students who aren't actually transferring as far as academics are concerned??
