I would like to call upon members of the newly created Jimmy Binnie Society to come forward and celebrate the most important player of the past four years to the Xavier Musketeer program.
I will begin...
January 25, 2006
Dayton destroyed the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure 78-58 and they did it being carried by Construction Cone Binnie's strength and determination.
That night Binnie played only 19 minutes, but he killed the Bonnies by going 2-5 from the field, all from beyond the arc for six points. He pulled down two rebounds and demonstrated his greatness.
Welcome to the Jimmy Binnie Society.

Jimmy Binnie, a great American, where to begin. They say to really understand a player, look at his stats. Well, here are Binnie's career stats (link (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=22219)): 4.5 ppg, 3rbs, 1.1 assist and .5 steals. Those stats came from a starter.
We will miss you Jimmy "I'm white trash" Binnie.

Hey I heard Jimmy's FT % actually DECREASED during his four years. So he was better hitting a foul shot his freshman year then he was his senior year.
Who can claim that stat?
No one but Jimmy Binnie.

you guys make me so proud. I wish Gregory had an opportunity to tell Jimmie that once in the last 4 years, unfortunately he never did.

He was never really out there to score. He was more of a defensive specialist.

Whenever I make an important decision in my life, I ask myself, "What would Jimmy Binnie do."
Try it and live an awesome life.

Guys, Guys, Guys...Dont forget that Jimmy B was a 3 Star recruit coming into Dayton, while BROB (as the cryers call him) was only a 2 star.
Man did he ever live up to those expectations....

I dont think we are giving Jimbo enough credit. He actually evolved his game from a simple construction barrel, into a aerodynamic parking cone.

I have been told Jimmie Binnie does hold one NCAA distinction . . . He is the only player in the NCAA to average more tatoos than points.
By the way, who was the original Dayton "Fab 5" who came in with Binnie and Roberts as freshmen? Just curious . . .

Wow. That recruiting class really handed us our lunch. I hope that their incoming all-world freshman class turns out to be as good as those yahoos were.
I, for one, will miss Binnie. He added another dimension to beating Dayton. I will miss him being afraid to shoot the ball, and when he did take a shot he chucked up bricks more than 1/2 the time. Not to mention the fantastic free throw shooting and his amazing ability to get to the line 10-15 times per season.
Happy 22nd birthday to Jimmie Binnie - March 11 - this past Tuesday.

I will say this, at least Dayton is getting more athletic. On the other hand, ten years ago they at least had guys who could score and beat us on occasion.
I'm starting to miss the old Dayton argument of "Well since you guys had such great talent, why didn't you beat us ALL the time, then."
Because we are now.

At least Meachum was smart enough to leave the dump and head to Illinois before he could be a part of that amazing senior class. I hope he isn't too disappointed to miss out on all of the opportunities he has missed by leaving UD for Illinois.

Here's the funniest line I took from that article. (Actually, I stopped reading after this one.) 3rd line in:
We're slow, as you are. We're white, and so are you. We're tall, you're just a little bit taller than us. We don't start on one of the best Division I basketball programs in the country. You do.
Those losers are so delusional. Even while trying to make fun of their own player, they fail to realize how much they suck.
