No idea what they do. Just really athletic? Anyone know anything about them?

Guessing the game will be early?

So pumped.

I know RJ Hunter is a legit first round prospect and they have Kevin Wear the dude who snapped his leg in the Championship game for Louisville.

And Ryan Harrow the former NC State and UK point guard, but he's been hurt

But they don't score very well won last two games scoring under 40 and under 60. I really need to know game time if anyone can get it

Not entirely accurate. They're 57th in offensive efficiency, which isn't awesome but it's obviously not bad. They just play very slowly. They're 264th in the country in tempo. That's their problem in their scoring total.

Whatever the worst time slot is, we'll get it. It's likely to be the 8th most watched game of 8 on Saturday. #1 for me, though!

I think CBS has to go thru the games and pick what they want. They get first dibs. Then Turner sorts out the rest I guess.

I'm not being an ass just a smart ass I'm 100% accurate. I only mentioned their last 2 games where they did win with under 40 points and today where they win with under 60. I'm thinking x has the definite advantage and won't have as many turnovers as baylor had today

Apparently Kevin Ware has played pretty this year, despite his troubles at Louisville still messing with his head a bit. (Per an article I read.)

I think Ron Hunter is a pretty dynamic coach. He worked for Charlie Coles for a season before coaching at IUPUI for six or seven years.

Based on what ive seen from the minimal times ive seen them play this year; they have 3 guys who can really get it done for them on offense (Hunter, Harrow, and Ware), they pressure you full court most of the time on defense. They do not rebound very well. We should be able to dominate them inside and on the glass. Just got to keep their scorers under wraps.

Georgia State will be better coached, less athletic, but much more disciplined. That Ole Miss team has to be the dumbest team in the bracket. So many deep threes with 20 plus on the shot clock. Then, the nearly failed fast break where they were trying to make SC top 10plays while down 15.

It's a slam dunk that CBS will take Kentucky/UC/Purdue for the first Saturday game. Either Xavier would get a late afternoon game or more likely a Saturday night game.

Well GSU/X will share a session with UNC/Arkansas so I have a suspect feeling that we will be in early time slot on TBS/TNT as these are all Eastern/Central time zone teams

I'm talking about the 1 PM slot where it's the only game being played. That absolutely screams UK to me.

Georgia State is a solid team. Baylor is BY FAR their best win of the season. After Baylor, their best win is Green Bay (RPI 63).

I don't think Xavier will overlook them, that's for sure. I think Xavier can go to Stain and Jalen down low, and let guys spot up and make open three's if they double our bigs.

Xavier's defense is playing really good, and Ga. State doesn't score it very well, although they play at a slow pace.

They actually average more than I thought (72 pts per game). However, they don't shoot the three very well. They shoot it at about 33% as a team. RJ Hunter only shoots 30% from three. I can see Xavier playing more 1-3-1 in this one. They also don't rebound very well. Markus Crider (6'6) is their leading rebounder at 6.7 per game.

I like Xavier in this one. X by 11

I just don't think they will have ky play until close to midnight and then turn Around and play at 1. More likely 7 or 8.

Agree, Xavier in a 1-3-1 would be prudent.

UC vs UK has to be the prime-time slot, right? I'm guessing we play Saturday afternoon. There's no one outside of Cincinnati or Georgia State's campus that really cares about our game nationally.

Guys, I don't know why you're talking about Kentucky already being in the second round. They still have to beat Hampton, who might actually have Jesus on their side (http://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2015/03/17/march-madness-hampton-manhattan-coach-jesus-phone)!

I knew they had good guards (though I didn't realize Harrow would still be out), and R.J. Hunter would be the best player on the court, but I just figured in the end it was wishful thinking on my part.

I bet Old Dominion -4 or so against them...with about 2 minutes left, Old Dominion was down 8 and I decided to turn it off/take a piss...When I came back to the game, ODU had a miraculous/"sweet" play to force OT and actually covered...Georgia State is in for a hurting facing X IMHO

@slrussell: Don't look for Ga. State 2nd-leading scorer Ryan Harrow (hamstring strain) to play vs. #Xavier. Will dress but that's it.

Well, I just ran 20 games between X and Georgia State on whatifsports (a favorite site of mine that crunches numbers only) and X won 13 of 20 by an average of 7 point victories. The two outliers were GSU winning 57-49 (that actually made me chuckle) and X winning 88-70. So take THAT.

I used to visit that site a lot in college, havent been on in years. Me and a buddy actually did a thing they had on there at the time where you are the head coach of a small program and try and recruit spending a limited amount of money you have and setting lineups and stuff and then it simulates games against teams in your conference and based on how you do you try and move up for better jobs. I forget all the details of it but it was fun at the time.
