Funny. Derrick Chievous' son is playing for Hampton. the same Derrick Chievous who was the star of the Mizzou team that lost to Byron Larkin and Xavier in 1987. Cannot believe that it has been 28 years since that game!

C'mon MOR, where's that positive attitude? Our guys won't be fazed by BYU. I'm not guaranteeing a win, but have you watched Ole Miss play lately? They haven't played good at all. Xavier will be the tougher, more tested team. BYU is shooting way above their average.

No doubt, we'll play a totally different and much more disciplined game than the garbage that Andy Kennedy puts out there. We'll make them play defense. I'm confident, but I'm always nervous about teams that get going and rain in 3's.

If you look at the Sagarin Ratings, for example, the MEAC and SWAC are 34th and 35th, and there's a pretty solid gap to #33. The Ivy is #16.

That was not a foul in a sane world, but you're exactly right; that is almost always called a foul.

Dayton benefited from a lot of (no)calls down the stretch. Marks was fouled several times on a drive down 1 with around a minute to go (same call that Dayton had received about a minute prior). Instead, the kid Davis from UD gets a steal off the collision. Also, UD should've been whistled for an over-the-back, which would've given Boise State free throws and a chance to take the lead.

But whatever. Boise State's end-game execution was about as bad as I've ever seen. I think their offensive strategy was "hey, please come trap us."

And for a team that felt "disrespected" playing on its home floor against an 11-seed who traveled 2,000 miles for this game, Dayton was incredibly unimpressive and really looked the part of a team that just barely made it into the field. Looking forward to seeing how the Flyers will handle Henton and Dunn. I'm sure the red sweater vests will boo Henton lustfully for spurning UD.

I dont think that would have been called a foul at any point of the game. The defender did jump up for a second but he got established back on the ground and was straight up and the Boise guy jumped forward right into him. Maybe if the Boise guy went sooner but I didnt think that was a foul at any point and you are definitely not getting that call there.

Why, because it is more pertinent of what happens to vd when Jordan Sibert leaves...and that will be in one more game after Providence shows them what Big Boy Basketball is all about.

Sibert has saved that team from ignominy for two years and he saved their ass again last night with a cold blooded 3. Beaknose basically gift wrapped Sibert to the Cryers because of how he mismanages his roster and Sibert has made Archie a LOT of money both now and in the future. You could see how incompetent the Cryers were when Sibert was off the court last night. I don't think I've ever seen a team more reliant on one guy for their offense.

Archie knows they will abjectly suck after Sibert leaves - Scoochie and Pierre are respectable, but they have Bobby Wherli playing a big role for Gawds sake. I could see Racccoon Junior moving to that next job very soon- and I mean in a few weeks.
