Playing Georgetown in the BE semi-finals is the reason we joined this league. We really have nothing to lose and are playing for seeding at this point and to win a conference championship. They seem to be very proud of their school and tradition, which they should be. They have the claim to being one of the most dominant programs in NCAA history for a while, that's something only one or two other programs can claim.

The GU fans I know seem to be confident in the talent, but very suspect of JTIII. They usually don't expect much in March and are pretty realistic of their shortcomings.

But then again, that reality would begin to undercut your idea that the world hates Xavier and every fan base that X plays on a regular basis are douchebags. And just so I don't pop a blood vessel, I won't even mention how much we all know ESPN hates Xavier.... :nudgewink:

MOR, you can't be serious. You spent about 1,000 posts deriding ESPN for their love of the Big East before Xavier joined it. Every other post was railing against ESPN for over-hyping the talent of the Big East.

I'm not. ESPN sucks. It has never had any love for Xavier-especially Jay Bilas, because the A10 was seen as a threat to it's former baby doll Big East- that they have now declared "DEAD". Now that it's a new day, and the IMPROVED Big East is not one of their properties anymore, they do all they can to demean it.

By the way. The only thing good about ESPN is Sportscenter Producer, Xavier Grad Tom DeCorte.

I think there is some to it about shunning the Big East now. I watched 3 separate sportcenters Thur night/Fri morning and they didnt have a single highlight or mention of the Butler/XU game. Bulter is a top 25 team and the Big East is a major conference and not one highlight.
