Figured I'd get this started...
Marquette is up on SHU early, 25-12.

Yup, nice of Seton Hall to show up. The zone is killing them.

Marquette is Boatracing them right now. That whole team has just fallen apart.

Looks to me like Seton Hall does NOT want to play any more basketball this year. #MailingItIn

If you are Seton Hall, I don't see how you could say you could build off of this season.

People complain about how everyone gets a trophy simply for participating. Well, if that's the case, then Seton Hall still shouldn't get one. They didn't even show up.

I actually thought Marquette would make it a game for the first half before Villanova brought down the hammer, but after Marquette came back from the early deficit to only be down 18-16 with 11:30 in the first half, Villanova just finished them off right then and there.

12,588 attendance for last night. Not bad for "play in" games.
The a10 at Brooklyn- with a New York team (F-m) playing? 5,985- many disguised as gray chairs. They also have the upper level curtained off.
Today? More at MSG, less at Barclays- plenty of good seats still available.

St. John's started out up 7-0, now down to Providence 16-7.
Ed Cooley can really coach folks and St. John's has reverted back to their undisciplined mode.

The Johnnies got off to a good start in the 2nd half, but Providence is starting to pull away. Now 59-40 Friars.

St. John's just seems like a team that I should automatically put down for a first round loss.

15,197 attendance at the afternoon session today.
6,806 at the a10 afternoon session. Better than Atlantic City, I guess.

Not to look ahead, but if we beat Butler, I'm not sure if I'd rather face Georgetown or Creighton. Creighton would be the obvious choice, except we've beaten Georgetown comfortably twice, and are 1-1 against Creighton, barely beating them by one. Who to root for?

The actual crowds last night weren't good at all for the Big East, but they're definitely there today (afternoon and night). In all fairness, you couldn't expect fans from Marquette, DePaul and Creighton to make the trip. Seton Hall - where the hell were their fans?
The A-10 would have been lower had VCU not played today.

Xavier doesn't match up with Creighton as well as they do with Georgetown. Plus, a win wouldn't help them and a loss would hurt them, which is the opposite of Georgetown.

That's probably the best possible outcome for us (save, perhaps an OT or two...). Assuming we win tonight, I'd rather the upside of facing Nova. But a tired Nova.

Their opponents are also 20. I think 40-year-old fans tend to overestimate fatigue, but these top-level athletes are still human. Even minor fatigue can mean the difference, especially with shooting legs.
That said, I think the two opponents tomorrow faced about the same physical challenge today.

15,194 attendance for Last Night's Semifinals.
The a10- 7,423 for the evening session.....and Wally Rutecki was a ref in the Rhode Island/GW game.
