I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one Nation
under God
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

Maybe they need to put this back into grade school.

Actually, burning it would be far, far better.

Yeah, but what do you expect from a group of people that booed God at their convention?

Do they not have that in most grade schools anymore? I know my daughter's school (elementary, Los Angeles) still does.

Do they want to ban California flags from campus as well or just the USA flag?

I think these students are wacky.
But get the story straight. The vote was to ban flags from one room on campus, a room where they met, not the whole campus.
The vote has been overridden and the flags will still fly in that room; apparently more than one flag involved.

I split my time between two Cincinnati Public Schools (K-8). One does the pledge daily over the intercom, the other leaves it to the individual teachers. I think it all depends on the school.
