This week: Ofer, a split, or sittin' pretty

What's it gonna be this week. I lean toward the Ofer, with maybe a split. If we win the Shootout we most certainly will lay an egg against Butler. It's happened after every big win this year. If we lose Wed, I look for the Ofer. Butler is a coaching mismatch. Butler's new coach is Stevens 2.0 . On paper we have way more talent than Butler, but between the ears (players), and on the bench (coach) we have less. Maybe they'll surprise me, but X has managed to ruin my mood almost every weekend this winter. If only we could play Georgetown every week.

I think we win a close one against UC and I think we catch a break playing Butler at the right time with Chrabascz out, he killed us @Butler. The Cintas should be rocking for the Butler game.

I actually think Butler has more talent right now. But I think Xavier wins both. One of Butlers best players is out and we saw how it affected them against Creighton. @Cintas will be a much more difficult test.

i think we split....if charbwicsjkindldfniner wasn't injured, i'd say O'fer but he was a matchup nightmare last game, and i think without him, that really helps us out. I just don't see this team going into the most hostile environment they will face all season and winning...I just don't think they have the mental fortitude to do it. I hope I'm wrong. I do believe we beat Butler though and I will definitely take a split this week, I'll also take a split next week.

I don't think this team is particularly mentally tough, but I don't think it's mentally weak either. They have had a lot of strong moments to go with the breakdowns, and really they just seem average in this category.

I reject the "two games" premise. With the way the schedule is laid out, X actually has three huge games in a six-day period. X is 1-0. I would be pretty happy with 2-1 and be doing cartwheels at 3-0.
