Butler forward Andrew Chrabascz will miss two to four weeks with a broken bone in his right hand.
The sophomore was injured early in the second half of Saturday's loss to No. 6 Villanova but still finished the game. Chrabascz has started all 25 games for No. 18 Butler this season and is the team's third-leading scorer at 11.1 points per game.
The school announced Sunday that Chrabascz is scheduled to have surgery Monday. Bulldogs coach Chris Holtmann says he is eager to get Chrabascz back.
The timetable, however, means Chrabascz is likely to miss the rest of the regular season for Butler (18-7, 8-4) and possibly the start of the Big East tournament and NCAA tournament.
Butler visits Creighton on Monday and Xavier on Wednesday.
