Roadkill! Time for some Steel Ballz on the board. This it is to celebrate the 2/10 win at Marquette.

I personally did not get to watch this game (to respect the streak), so the three entries are once again reflective of the best stats. If you have someone else to enter, please do!

Candidates:

Trevon Bluiett - 14 points on 5/9 shooting (2/4 from 3, 2/2 from the line), 6 rebounds and an assist

Matt Stainbrook - 13 points on 3/9 shooting (7/9 from the line), 6 rebounds and 3 assists

JP Macura - 11 points on 4/8 shooting (3/6 from 3), 3 rebounds and an assist

Other - Myles and Jalen played commendable games, even if they didn't put up big stats. O'Mara once again impressed off the bench in limited minutes. If you select this option, please tell who your write-in is and why

Remember, don't let the stats alone dictate your choice. Consider twho had the ballziest game.

All stats from goxavier.com.

Sean O'Mara didn't put up with crap from Luke Fischer when he was in the game and actually gave him a pretty hard time!

JP.

Excellent scoring today, multiple steals, very good defensively at the front of the 1-3-1 zone. He seemed to really put it all together tonight. Exactly what we need from him.

For the second straight game, he's look alright in the man-to-man too. He was my runner-up.

I guess I can't get away with saying the freshmen collectively, but WOW, what an encouraging performance for Trevon, JP and O'Mara!

I totally agree. Add the performance of sophomores Reynolds and Myles Davis and that is a heck of a nucleus for at least the next 2 years. If their defense catches up with their offensive abilities it's going to be fun to watch in the future. These kids aren't just projects as we have had in the past. These guys have immediate skills.

You all do realize that we had three freshmen on the floor at one point last night... Could've and should've had four.

Was Larry Austin the one not on the floor at the time?

Went against the norm w/ Trevon. Nice all around game; let it come to him but hit some key shots. Need this from him the rest of the way and can't disappear. Love seeing JP get out of his funk too.

Trevon and JP didn't rush their shots but Marquette's D had something to do with that as well.

Had to vote for Microwave Macura but give Sean O'Mara his props.

Does this belong in the JP Sweep the Leg thread?

I gave stain so much crap on the live chat I had to give it to him. Hope he's 100% for Saturday.

I actually think he looked like his old self after a miserable beginning of the game.

Yes the crap was in the first half.

Haha I figured. It was so bad that O'Mara was subbed in early in the first half for Matt, and it wasn't because of foul trouble or the need for a rest.

The combination of the two was big in wearing Fischer down. After a hot start his contribution to the game was pretty much limited to blocking Jalen twice at the end of the game. Hopefully that was a learning experience for Jalen in several ways.

That 1-3-1 with Jalen's giant wingspan seemed to work. Also, you could actually see the wheels turning on where he was supposed to be positioned.

It definitely did. No doubt about it.
