I could have tolerated him more easily if we'd made an additional half dozen three pointers to be merely average. Everything is more fun in a win. He's not Dicky V, but he can wear on you.

Edit: and it was an admitted "home game" for him, which was well advertised and is weird.

For some reason I really like him. How can you not like ONIONS! and with the kiss, and a lil nickle dimer?

Looking back watching some of our tourney games on NCAA vault it turns out he has done a lot of our tourney games. His onions call for BJ Raymond 3 against WV was awesome.

My wife doesnt like him and doesnt understand anything he says. Sometimes he is over the top tho with grumbling that doesnt make any sense. Overall I like him though.

My problem with him is bias. I didn't notice it until I heard him call the Duke/XU game posted previously. He sucks up to the east coast teams. It's sad, he could be great.

I'm fine with Raf. Yeah, he is a bit biased towards East Coast teams, but at least he isn't a pompous wind bag like Bilas or Dakich. The worst announcer right now is Bob Knight. His call of the UC-UConn game was one of the worst I've ever heard on a major network.

Yeah I watched pretty much the whole thing too last week after watching the Duke game in '04. I needed to follow that with a good memory of a big win.

Raftery adds so much to any game, I can tolerate his mistake, even referring to Xavier as Cincinnati more than once until his booth corrected him then he went the other way referring to Xavier every other word..love the guy
