Georgetown

Not the prettiest game, but a strong finish pushes the women to a 63-50 win to start a three-game homestand. Raeshaun Gaffney kept them in it with a big, 15-point first half, and they held Georgetown without a FG over the final three minutes. I'm liking some of the toughness this team is starting to show.

The next two games will be on Fox Sports 1, starting with Sunday against Villanova.

This team has come a long way from the tough situation they lived with last year. Proud of the effort, love the depth!

What I liked at the Georgetown game was that even when they got a little behind, they stuck to it. I also liked that the fans had confidence that they would come back and win. Another good BE win.

They fought to the end vs Villanova, but shots did not fall pretty much all game. I'm usually pretty positive in all my posts, but Villanova's coach (http://espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/7225514/harry-perretta-villanova-wildcats-coach-wins-600th-game) comes off like a huge jerk (I saw him once last year too, same thing). Fine to have you team continue to play hard even when up by 20, but as a coach ... "take a chill pill" as someone next to me said. Pretty much berating his players and shouting the entire game. It was like he was "the man" dominating his female players. Shouting at his players even when they are standing next to him. It's fine to be involved in a game, but he needs to know that he's way over the top. I have no place for this guy in WBB.
