Where did you guys stay for last year's BE Tournament?

Never to early to make plans to see XU get its Dance Ticket punched!

Recommendations, please!

As it is not at the Cintas Center my recommendation would be to only reserve one night.

I hate that that is funny.

I think at 9-9, we should avoid Wed.

Try staying at the Courtyard Marriot in Newport(Jersey City). The station is less than 100 yards away.Cheaper than the city. The biggest hurdle is avoiding the Wed game. Unless, of course, we are hosting an NIT game at the Cintas the following Tue.

I was also thinking of flying out earlier Wednesday morning and staying through the weekend. Does anyone know when tickets will go on sale or around what time last year they went on sale?

Indigo in Chelsea had a BE rate 189 +tax, which is about as good as one can get in Manhattan for an updated hotel. Walking distance to msg.

Received a ticket order form from XU on Wed. They are on sale now.

If you order through XU they give you a discount on hotel rates. (Team hotel and fan hotel)

Get a nice room, and look into all the things non-basketball related to do in the Big Apple. Can't go too far wrong on that trip, though you might need some distractions. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst! (My wife was there all week, and I wish I'd have tagged along on that one.)

So I'm in.

Was wondering the best way to go about getting tickets. I think I'm going to wait until the game time is announced and buy that session and then just buy them the day of if we advance. Did anyone go last year and if so would you recommend this method of getting tickets?

The school has some good deals, but I did stubhub last year and got some great deals. There is even a stubhub store within walking distance of the Garden where you can pick tickets up.

This is from what I received in the mail:

Westin Times Square $289.00 per night.

Marriott Courtyard NY Manhattan/Chelsea $260.00 per night.

Hotel Indigo NYC/Chelsea $189.00 per night.

You can visit Xavier.edu/BIGEAST for hotel info and to book accommodations.

Excellent. Thank you. Will probably just go the stubhub route. I am staying at my cousin's in Queens so I'll luckily be able to avoid the New York hotel prices.

You can get a room in Queens for $100. Just a 15 minute train ride to Times Sq.
